Rimuru's POV

"You see, I wanted to talk to you guys, well, Origin, to be specific." I tell them. The aura of a person that can control fate. I am pretty sure I felt it from her.

"What did you want to talk about?" Rovel asked, clearly suspicious of my intentions.

"You see, my daughter also has high affinity to control and manipulate fate, just like her. So I wondered if she could hello my daughter control her power, even if a little." Hearing this, the look in Rovel's eyes suddenly softened.

"That's actually quite important. If a child doesn't have complete control in her powers, she might end up hurting herself as well as everyone around here." Origin said as she spoke up from behind Rovel.

"I am glad that you seem to understand." I say with a smile.

"Understanding and helping us a different matter. Why should we help you when you-" Rovel was trying to say something but Origin stopped him.

"That's alright. No need to worry. I will teach Shinsha how to control her powers." Origin said with a smile.

"... How did you know her name was Shinsha?" I ask.

"Fate can be quite mischevious." Origin said with a smirk.

What did she mean by that? Could it be that they have already met?

'Is he really talking to that coward?'
'Does he not know about him?'

I looked around after hearing the whispers of everyone around me. It doesn't seem like that they were calling me the coward, that only leaves one explanation.

"Are they talking about you?" I ask Rovel.
"Most probably." Rovel said without much of an interest. Seems like he had also heard them, but didn't bother to respond.

"Any clue why?"
"Most probably because I didn't take over my entire territory. You see, I am not the ruler of my world, much like you. The country which I live in was quite nice. I am a Duke of that Kingdom. Instead of becoming the absolute authority, that is the king, I decided to remain the Duke. After all, I don't have it in me to rule, control and guide an entire country. Just a Dukedom is more than enough." Rovel said with a sigh.

"Is that so?"
"Yeah. And the king I serve is quite adept at his work, even though he would rather be a chef." Rovel said with a chuckle.

I doubt that is all there is to it. There has to be something else that he is hiding. Well, I guess it's better to leave it alone for now.

"Feel free to contact me via this. It should work even if we are in different worlds." I tell him as I give them both a phone, one of highest achievements of technology in our world. Not only can it work across dimensions, it can also directly connect to a person via a temporary soul corridor, making it impossible for outsiders to detect.

"I don't think we'll need this, but thanks anyways." Rovel said with a smile before leaving and Origin followed after him. Just as I was looking around, Finn and Rizzete approached me. The way they arrived right after Rovel left, they must probably were eyeing me from before.

"So? What does the centre of attention want from me?" I asked.

"Isn't that quite a rude way of addressing me?"
"I don't think so. Rather it should be an honour to be the centre of attention of such a large and important banquet." I continue to aggravate him, but he didn't bite.

"*Sigh* Whatever. You see, I came to talk to you."
"Regarding Orcanyx?" I asked.

"Yes."

"Well, I am not really inclined on joining you. Why should I put myself and people of my country in danger, just for a random world."

"That's a fair point. But do you think you are safe? After they defeat me, you guys would be next."

"What makes you think that? Unlike you, who defeated the previous God of the world, our God is still alive. I doubt anyone would dare to attack the world under a God who is a part of a faction from a long time.

Not only are you a newbie God, you are also without any protection from any other God. They is the main reason you are being targeted.

None the less, I can atleast promise that I will not attack you or your people until you give us a reason to." I explain to Finn. I have no intentions in joining in this stupid war.

I already have had my fill for these stupid things. And, under the protection of Veldanava, the chances that we get into an all out way is also quite low.

Seeing that I wouldn't change my mind, Finn decided to give up and be content with the fact that I wouldn't attack him. Finn turned around towards Rizzete, who was talking to Ciel and Chloe. Rizzete was hiding her blushing face with her hands. Even Chloe looked a little embarrassed. What are they talking about?

"Riz, are you alright?" Finn asked Rizzete. Riz? A nickname. Could it be?! Ohho. So that's what Ciel is teaching to Rizzete.

"Oh! Ah! FinnRightItdidn'tworkbut thatdoesn'tmatter-" Rizzete continued to speak quickly in an incoherent tone.

"Riz. Calm down. What happened? Are you alright? You don't look so good." Finn asked. This made Rizzete lose her composure even more as she slowly backed away from him.

"I-I am fine. Just give me a moment." Rizzete said as she scurried away.

"You guys didn't do anything to her, did you?" Finn asked Ciel and Chloe.

"Don't worry. We just have her since advice." Ciel replied with a smirk.
"Advice?"
"Yes. If she follows it, you'll realise it soon enough. For now, why don't you chase after her." Hearing this, Finn have a confused look, but decided to go after Rizzete.

"She was quite an innocent girl." Ciel commented as she came closer to me.

"Rizzete?"
"Yes."
"So they really are a couple?"
"Well, they started dating a couple of months back, but they haven't progressed a bit. Finn had lost his family at a very young age. His father died as the previous generation of the Crimson Crest Bearer and his mother had died while giving birth to him.

After that, Finn had lived all alone, so nobody ever told him about adult stuff. Meanwhile Rizzete was just unable to destroy his purity. They have their marriage in a few months, and they will most probably have their first time then." Ciel explained everything to me.

"You sure learnt a lot in a matter of minutes."
"She was an open book. She would happily answer anything I asked. Whether she is always like that, or she was keeping up a front, I am not sure. But the information I got should be genuine."

"What's a Crimson Crestbearer then?" I ask.
"No clue. But it's most probably something like an insignia of power. Like the Crest of Sin."

"Hmmmm..... Might be. But I don't really understand him. He doesn't seem that strong. How did he manage to defeat one of those monsters" I say while looking up at the balcony,"when he can't even beat me. I am hundred percent sure that I would win against him."

"I am not sure, but Veldanava did say that he became many times stronger for a short period time."

"Something like a trump card, I guess."

"Anyways, did you find what you came here for?" Ciel asked.

"No. Not really."
