Rimuru's POV

I have Finn and Rizzete complete control over their world. It might look like I did it out of the goodness in my heart, but the truth is, it is too much of a hassle. Right now, I don't want to deal with another world. So we decided to let Finn do whatever he wants.

"Let's have some fun family time. It's been quite long since we have been somewhere with Shinsha." I say to Ciel. In reality, all four of us, me, Chloe, Ciel and Shinsha should go together, but Chloe would always refuse to come with us whenever Shinsha was with us. Maybe it is her way of being considerate. That is why I make sure to spend time with her alone as well.

"I guess. To us, it's only been a month, but it has been many years for her. Do you have any plans?" Ciel asked.

"Not really. Let's just Shinsha if she wants to go somewhere." I say as I knock on the door of her room.

"Please come in, Lord Rimuru, lady Ciel." A boy said as he opened the door. He had black hair and black eyes. He did not look any older than fifteen, and for once, that was the true age of a being. Ken, the spirit of time that Shinsha summoned, was the only one of its kind. When he was just born, he imitated Shinsha and would fly around her as a miniature baby dragon.

Once we entered, I could see Shinsha with a small wolf on her lap as she was busy grooming its hair.

"Mother, father! What brings you here?" Shinsha asked as she she gently kept the wolf, a Fenrir that she named Rir, on the bed. Once she kept him gently, Shinsha stood up and she came to hug Ciel and then me.

"Shinsha. We were thinking of going somewhere as a family. What do you think? Where should we go?" Ciel asked. Hearing this, Shinsha paused for a few seconds before a smile appeared on her face.

"Let's go around the city. There have been a lot of changes in the past few years. I am sure you will love to see it with your own eyes. Even I am yet to see them as I only looked at the reports." Shinsha said with sparkling eyes

Shinsha quickly dragged Ciel to her wardrobe and started talking about what to wear and what accessories would look good with it. I am pretty sure that they still remember they can just make their own dresses and accessories according to their desires with magic creation, but I guess this is one of the things that they enjoy, so I didn't bother them. I was about to leave the room but two pairs of hands stopped me.

"Where are you going father?"
"That's right. Amongst us three, you have the least dressing sense. Come with us."

And that was how I was dragged into the room and forced to dress up until they were satisfied.

3rd Person POV

For the remainder of the day, and the night. The trio continued to enjoy the city. There was no festival. They would randomly go from one place to another. They would visit the museum and laugh at how their history was recorded and how they were depicted. They would go to a nearby restaurant and reminisce about how they place used to be nothing more than a jungle.

Shinsha would listen to all these stories with interest. After all, since the time she had had her memories, Tempest had been one of the largest cities in the world with a history dating back to more than 500 years. So, hearing stories about it being nothing more than a large overgrown forest was quite intriguing.

The trio finally returned to the castle after sunrise the following day. Just as they were about to go their seperate ways, Shinsha stopped the two.

"Ummmm.... Mother, father! I want to say something."

"What is it?" Rimuru asked.

"Umm... So... I had a lot of fun today, and..." Shinsha wanted to say something, but was unable to bring herself to say it.

"We had a lot of fun as well." Ciel said with a smile as she encouraged Shinsha to complete her statement.

"Ummmm... Actually, I want to go on an adventure as well. Not as the princess of Tempest, or the daughter of you two, but rather as Shinsha." Shinsha said quickly and resolutely. Both Ciel and Rimuru started at her. They weren't completely surprised by this fact either. They had somewhat guessed it, from how she acted when she heard stories about the time Tempest was still a new nation.

"Hahahaha..... Looks like she really has inherited your dreams as well." Ciel said as she laughed out loud.
"Seems like it. I thought she was a lot like you, but I guess my blood in her also quite thick." Rimuru said with a wry smile.

Shinsha looked at them surprised. She knew how the heirs of influential kingdoms are treated. They are protected and very rarely are they even allowed to leave their castle. Shinsha on the other hand was fortunate enough to be allowed to wander anywhere in Tempest took she informed someone.

But, that was only within Tempest. Even Rimuru and Ciel could not protect her at all times outside Tempest. Though they doubted Guy, Rudra or any other demon lord our true dragon would do anything, the possibilities were never zero. Hence she was never allowed to go outside of Tempest without supervision.

So, she had expected to be scolded and denied the permission. If that were to happen, she was willing to do anything to change their mind. But she had not expected them to be so accepting.

"*Sigh* I knew suck a day would come. You will write your own story and live your own life. Both me and your mother did the same. And now it's your time. I won't tell you to not go out just stay here. Experiencing the world is very important. Not just this world, but many others. If you want to explore other worlds, feel free to do so. But you must promise us to take care of yourself and contact us, alright?" Rimuru said.

"That's right Shinsha. Also, you must always keep this pendant with you. It will protect your soul even if you die and bring your soul here. If you need anything, you can always come back." Ciel said as she gently hugged Shinsha.

"Really?" Shinsha asked surprised.
"Yes, really." Rimuru said as he patted her head.

I hope you guys like it. This will mark the end of book 2. The next chapter will be the epilogue. After that, I will write book 3. I was also thinking of making book 2.5 which would have their day to day life as well as many other excerpts which are not relevant to the main story. What do you think?
