*A/N- I yelled at a can of Pringles today. I bought them this morning and ended up eating the whole thing even after telling it to go away. But at least I ate, and that's all the matter, right? I also wrote the dialogue in this chapter from memory, and now I think I've watched the flirting video too many times. I may have a problem. Happy reading! Enjoy!

(MIA POV)
"That perfume smells really nice." I was in the office typing up something for the newsletter when I heard her voice. She was attempting a flirty compliment. I turned to see Charlotte standing in the doorway, smiling at me. I smirked at her and stood up to lean against the edge of the desk. "And your nails are so pretty." She looked uncomfortable and more than usual. She was smiling very big, and her cheeks were just barely pink.

Being very skeptical of the whole situation, I said, "Hmm. Do they?" Upon further inspection, I noticed that Charlotte had switched her wedding ring to her middle finger. That's when I knew she was up to something.

She was struggling to get the words out, "You both smell and look great!" I raised my eyebrows at her, and she got more nervous. She kept fidgeting, trying to find a more appealing way to stand. After a minute, she decided to just put her hands on her hips, stick her chin up a little bit, and smile at me. She was so cute.

I stared for a moment and decided we should just get to the point of this little encounter. "Charlotte, was there something you wanted?"

"Oh. Well, you know... come to think of it," I furrowed my brow and waited for her to finish, "Would it be okay if I just quickly used your computer?"

"My computer?" I questioned.

"Yeah, I- My phone just never... connects to the internet here," She knew. She knew about Jodie, and she was trying to trick me. I crossed my arms and glared slightly as she continued, "Carly's been telling me about this new bar that's just opened in town and I just wanted to have a quick look at their menu since I'd love to go." She was rambling. "Perhaps you and I could go sometime?" She smiled, I tilted my head and smirked at her. Nice try, Sweetheart.

"Go ahead and use the computer to check out the... bar menu." Maybe this was the universe telling me she didn't have feelings for me. But if she didn't, then why did she switch her ring? This could be helpful to the plan. Maybe if Charlotte ratted me out to everyone, they would actually do something about it. She was the most trusted person in the nursery.

"Great! Thank you." She goes to step towards the computer but stops to try and flirt again. "You know, we could go to this bar tonight. Like straight after work if you fancy me- IT- it- if you fancy it..." She was bright red now. Her little slip-up made me smile. She definitely liked me and was trying very hard to cover it up while trying to distract me with her flirting. It just sucked that she was having to use her flirting "skills" for evil instead of for good.

I couldn't let this go on all day, no matter how much I was enjoying it. It was time to let her know that I knew what she was doing, "Let me guess. I'll be the one driving us there so you can have a good old look around my car?" Charlotte knew she was in trouble now and tried to laugh it off. "Bags not there, Charlotte. I love the effort, though." Her smile faded, and she was left looking disappointed. She let out a sigh. "Go ahead and use the computer for what you really came in here for."

I went to leave and give her some privacy with the computer when she stopped me. "Mia, wait. Can I quickly just get your John Hancock on this before you go?" She said, handing me an accident form.

"You haven't written out the accident yet?" One of the children had hit their head in one of the rooms earlier and ended up with quite a bump. Normally, Charlotte wrote everything up immediately. It was strange that she didn't this time, but with everything going on, I guess it was likely to happen.
