*A/N- I'm so tired and just wanted something cute and flirty, so here ya go. Happy reading! Enjoy!

(MIA POV)
"I really just don't know what I'm doing anymore. This is the hardest thing I've ever had to do, and it's tearing me apart."

Char sighed and rolled her eyes, "You're being over dramatic."

I looked at her and frowned, "You said to speak my truth, and this is it, baby. I can't believe you're shutting me down like this. After all we've been through, and you can't even fake support on something as serious as this. And to think... you said you loved me."

"Oh my God. Amelia. Just buy both skirts then! I really don't care!"

I narrowed my eyes at her and put a hand on my hip, "You don't care? You realize that you'll have to see me in them all the time. Sure you don't have a preference?"

"Get the black one."

"Finally!" I threw my hands in the air and then bought the skirt she suggested. "Now, was that so hard?"

"For one of us," she scoffed.

"You're a brat, and not in a good way." I got off the sofa and went to the kitchen to get some water.

Light footsteps came up behind me, and I felt arms wrapping around me. There was a soft kiss on the back of my head and a long sigh. "I'm sorry. I'm just in a mood because of everything that's been going on. Not to mention the fact that I miss the girls like crazy right now. I won't even see them till next week since they're on holiday with their dad until Sunday."

"I understand. It's hard when they go off like this for the first time without you," I turned around and pulled her closer, "but this means that we have more alone time together."

She smiled at me. "That's always a bonus."

"I know. I'm pretty amazing to be around, aren't I?"

She flicked my cheek where the scar had already formed. It had only been a week or so since the incident, and everything was healing as it should. Although, I would have a scar in my eyebrow. It could always be covered with my hair.

I winced in pain. It didn't hurt as bad, but was still very sensitive to touch.

"Yeah," she laughed, "You're a blast all the time."

"That was mean. I got that fighting a bear! It really hurts," I said, faking a pained tone and hurt expression.

She rolled her eyes again and left my arms to go back to the lounge. Under her breath, she said, "More like yelling at a rat."

The attitude on this woman was going to drive me crazy... but this time, it would be in a good way.

I refused to check my messages until I woke up in the mornings and just before I went to bed at night. It was a new system I was working out to try and stress less while also using it to avoid Roger. Reece and Autumn had been keeping him off of me, and Charlotte hadn't left my side at all. Except to go to work, and 4 nights last week when she had the girls. She wanted to stay, but I told her to go to them so she didn't miss any time.

Things had been going smoothly and quietly. It was almost eerie how nothing bad had happened. I could breathe, I wasn't as stressed anymore, and I was getting to spend so much time with my favorite person. Life was good. For a while anyway.

"Amelia, are you coming back? I'm cold and need attention." Charlotte was whining from the other room.

She'd grown quite clingy after everything, but I loved it. She needed me again and it was nice. Now that my whole body didn't ache anymore, it was easier to keep up with our usual activities.

I grabbed a glass of water and headed back to her. I set it down and climbed onto the sofa with her. We covered up, and I held her tight.

She fixed my hair out of my face, saying, "I need more."

"More of what?" I asked, laughing.

"More time. More time with you and with the girls. I hate having to split it up between the 3 of you."

"What if you didn't?" There came her confusion. "It's been a while now, and I know I said we could wait as long as you wanted, but..."

"But?"

"I already talk to them when we're on the phone. I know everything about them. What if... and hear me out... what if I planned a dinner where we could meet in person?" I bit my lip nervously, waiting for her to answer.

These girls were just as important to me as Char, and I wanted to prove it to her.

"Hm." She was thinking. I hated it when she had to think about things like this.

"Okay, bad idea. Nevermind. They would probably hate me anyway, so it's best to keep us apart. I'm not even good with kids anyway, you know? I would prob-"

And then she kissed me.

"Shut up, Amelia." She said between breaths. "I think it's a wonderful idea. They've actually been asking when you're going to come over."

I tried to hide it, but I was blushing at the thought. "They have? Really?"

She pretended not to notice and replied, "Yes. Actually, I had already been planning something for when they got back from their trip. I just wasn't sure if you'd be here."

"I will be. I'm not leaving town until it happens. I'll clear my whole schedule." I practically jumped off the sofa to find my phone. My calendar wasn't going to empty itself.

"Funny, this is exactly how the girls reacted too. They ran around and tidied the whole house for you." Char was laughing at me, but I didn't care.

I just kept looking for my phone.

"They promised to be on their best behavior until then. I wonder what I could get out of you?" She said suggestively.

I stopped in my tracks and turned back to her. She winked at me, getting up to come over to me.

"I bet there's a lot you could offer me in return." She winked. Every time she does that, I feel my knees buckle.

Her arms found their way around my neck, and she leaned into me. She used one of her hands to pull me into a deep kiss by grabbing the back of my head. I slid my hands up the beck of her shirt and melted into her.

I felt her smiling against my lips, so I pulled away and asked, "What's with the silly grin?"

"I want to play," Char whsipered in my ear. She pulled away and winked at me again, then backed away slowly and headed for the stairs. I stayed stuck where I was.

She'd made it halfway up the stairs before popping her head over the railing, "Are you coming, or am I playing by myself?"

My jaw was practically on the floor. Her confidence was practically slapping me in the face.

"I love you," I yelled, running up after her.

"Then come prove it," she said, giggling.

She didn't have to ask me twice.

Now that things have settled, maybe it's time I took her on a trip somewhere. We had 5 days until the girls were back. I could plan something for the weekend.

She has mentioned always wanting to go to Italy...
