*A/N- I'm just gonna leave this here... Happy reading? Enjoy?

(MIA POV)
"Who knew you had that in you?" I laughed, still breathless once we'd finished. She moved to lay on my arm and put her hand on my chest. I laid on my side and took my free hand to brush her hair behind her ear. "You've really gained some confidence, haven't you?" I asked, kissing her.

Charlotte blushed and moved her hand to my jaw, gently stroking my cheek. "I guess someone's been bringing it out in me." She bit her lip and then looked away.

"Thank you for planning such an amazing night." I pulled her close and let her rest her head on my chest. "I'm just sorry that we didn't get to eat."

She laughed, "Why do you think I wrapped it up before I kissed you?" She really thought of everything, didn't she? She moved to go grab the plates from the kitchen, but I pulled her back down. "I thought you were hungry?"

"I am," I said, kissing her neck, "but, you've done enough. I'll go grab it."

"Mia, you don't have to. I wanted tonight to be about you, just let me -"

I shushed her, "Just stay here. This isn't a battle you're going to win." I reached around her to grab my shirt and put it on before standing.

She rolled her eyes and sat up against the pillows. "Fine, but on your way back, get in my bag and bring me my phone. I think I left it in there."

"Anything for you, Sweetheart. Is that all?" She nodded her head and then reached for the remote to put on a movie for us.

The food was cold, so I had to heat it up before bringing it back to the lounge. While I waited for the food, I went to find Char's phone. Her bag was sitting on the dining table, so I walked over and started looking through.

Before I found her phone, I saw some papers inside. A corner was ripped off like they'd been take out or off of something. Normally, I wouldn't go invade her privacy by looking, but my name was peaking through, and I got curious.

I pulled the papers out and examined them closer. When I saw what was in them, I gasped and had to sit down. Everything felt like it was underwater, and I couldn't breathe. Roger was trying to take everything away from me. My board seat, my money. He'd already taken my mum from me. It was impossible to go and see her without him finding out. Would it ever end?

Charlotte walked in, but I didn't notice at first. "Okay, I know we've seen it 4 times already, but I really want to watch Annie again. Did you find it?" I looked over at her, and her smile dropped once she saw what was in my hand. "Oh, God. I forgot that was in there." She came over and knelt down in front of me, placing her hands on my knees and saying, "I was going to tell you about that over dinner, I swear."

"Where did you get this?" I asked.

"When I went to my meeting on Monday, I was given two files. One was yours, which you saw me throw out... but the other was filled with those legal papers."

"Who gave this to you? How did they get it? Was it Roger?" I asked quickly.

She started to look nervous and said, "Um... I just found them in the stack." There was no way.

I put them down on the table and moved her hands off of my lap gently so I could stand up. She moved to sit in one of the chairs while I paced for a minute.

When I'd finally processed it enough, I turned back to her, "You've known about this for a whole week, and you didn't tell me anything? Didn't mention it any time I called?"

Char stood up and came over to me, "I was trying to figure out if it was real before I added more to your plate. I even asked Reece to look into it for me since he has connections. Turns out they're all valid."
