*A/N- Not sure what happened here. Kinda got lost in the moment. Made myself cry for a minute there, and then I had a cookie to make myself feel better. Proceed with caution. Happy reading! Enjoy!

(MIA POV)
I sat around my hotel for the rest of the day and started checking emails trying to get ahead for the week. After I finished, I was on a video call with Char telling her about Emily, Milo, and the letter to my dad.

"You've not even been gona a full 24 hours, and all of that happened? What the hell kind of business trips do you keep going on?" She said only half, joking.

I laughed, "I don't know, but after the last couple weeks, I'd rather not go on anymore. I'm ready to be home in the quiet for a while with you."

She smiled, "I'm ready for that too. I hate it when you're not here." She pouted.

"I know, baby. This is just the perks of being a board member. At least it pays well."

"A little too well." Her eyes narrowed.

I rolled my eyes, "You never complain about it when I send you flowers and chocolates." She went to speak but stopped herself when she realized I was right. "Exactly," I laughed.

"Touché." She said. "So... what are you doing with the rest of your evening?" She asked suggestively.

I perked up and asked, "What do you want me to do with the rest of my evening?"

She bit her lip, "Well... I was thinking -" She stopped when we heard a knock on my door.

I got very irritated and said, "What the hell? This always happens when we're about to get to the goof stuff!" I growled and got up as the knocking intensified. "This should only take a second. Don't go anywhere!" I said, leaving my phone on the bed.

"Wasn't planning on it." Char said with a wink.

The knocking got louder as I reached the door. "Alright, calm down. I'm right here." I opened the door, "What do you- Katie? Oh my God. What are you doing here?"

There in front of me stood Reecey and Autumn's mum. Her hair was thrown into a messy bun. She was in leggings and a jumper, and she looked worried but relieved to see me.

"Hello, Amelia. We need to talk." I moved to the side and let her in. She went and sat on one of the chairs in the room and took a moment to admire the suite.

I was in shock but remembered Char was on the phone. "I'll be back in a second." Katie nodded, and I left to get my phone.

I picked my phone up off the bed, and Char said, "Hey, who was at the door?"

"Um... I need to call you back," I bit my nails and whispered, "It's Reecey and Autumn's mum... I don't know why she's here or what's going on. She wants to talk. What the hell am I supposed to do?" I was starting to spiral.

"Amelia, breathe." She said softly. "You can't leave her out there. This is what you've been looking for for so long. Call me back later. I want to know everything."

"You're right. Why am I nervous? She's the one who should be. I can do this. For the siblings!" I said, determined.

She smiled, "Yes. You can do it. I'll be here after."

I took a breath and smiled back at her, "Thank you, Sweetheart. I lo-," I almost slipped and told her I loved her, "I look forward to talking to you later!" I hung up quickly and slapped my forehead in frustration before heading back out.

"She sounds nice. Is she someone special?" Katie asked when I came out.

I glared at her, "That's none of your business. What are you doing here, and how did you find me?"
