*A/N- Alright, I heard you. You will get the meeting with Roger tomorrow. Buckle up, buckaroo. It's gonna be wild. In the meantime, enjoy these heartfelt Mialotte moments. Happy reading! Enjoy!
(MIA POV)
"Baby, I love you! I can't live without you anymore! Please, will you say you'll be mine forever?""Jesus, Amelia. You can't say that to her. What the hell is wrong with you? Trying to figure out what to say, but instead, coming up with what NOT to say. Why are you so stupid?" I said, hitting my head on the steering wheel with every word.
I'd just shown up outside of the nursery and was waiting for Char to arrive for our breakfast date.
Staying in my car would only make me spiral, so I stepped out and leaned against the hood. I was scrolling on my phone when a mum and her kid walked up to me.
Let's just say that the encounter was not a friendly one. It wasn't my fault, though. She was being annoying and rude. She kept making remarks about my clothing and how she didn't want her kid to turn out like me. I have shares in a very successful company, my investments are solid, and I'm a homeowner. I could quit my job, run off tomorrow, and be set for the rest of my life. She didn't know me, and she was making assumptions based on the fact my shoulders were out. Bitch.
"Do I wanna know why Alexandria's mum just walked off muttering 'bitch' under her breath?" Charlotte walked up and asked suspiciously.
My eyes darted over to her and I grinned, "What makes you think it was anything I said?" Yes, feign ignorance. That always works in my favor.
She glared at me. Autumn must have taught her the Jedi mind trick. Not cool, now she had an unfair advantage over me. Maybe I liked it, though...
"I'll tell you over breakfast." I said quickly, walking over to her side of the car. She rolled her eyes and climbed in. I leant down to kiss her and buckle her in. I'm not sure why I felt the need to do this everytime, but she never complained about it.
"So, what's the plan for breakfast then?" She asked smiling at me.
"Whatever you want. I'm not picky." I reached over and held her hand in mine. She held on tight, and traced patterns on my forearm with her free hand. She relaxed and laid her head back on her chair.
We drove around for a few minutes, enjoying each other's company before heading off to one of the shops for coffee and pastries. I didn't want to sit inside to eat. If I was going to be in town long enough to see her, then I didn't want the interruptions of other people. So, instead I drove us to a quiet spot at one of the parks for us to eat and talk.
"What are you doing?" She asked laughing. I hadn't realized this, but I'd been sitting there the whole time just staring at her. I'd zoned out so much that when she finally pulled me from my thoughts, her breakfast was gone.
"Sorry," I said, embarrassed, "I got lost in the moment. I want to take it all in and remember all of it before I have to leave again." I smiled and brushed her hair behind her ear.
She shook her head, "Not sure how watching me eat does that for you, but no judgment." She chuckled.
"Whatever. You love it when I watch you do anything. You secretly love the attention." I teased.
"Not much of a secret." She mumbled, looking away from me. I swear she blushed, but I can't prove it. "Okay, I'm ready." She turned back looking serious.
"Ready for what?" I asked.
"Tell me everything that's been going on. You said you would explain everything when you saw me, and as long as you haven't gone blind in the last 5 minutes, here I am. Lay it on me." She turned her whole body to face me, and crossed her legs in the seat.
