*A/N- Just popping in to say hi and check in to see how you guys are enjoying the chapters. Anyway, happy reading. Enjoy!

(CHAR POV)
Roger and Mia were already in the office starting the meeting to fire Jodie. I stood outside waiting for Reece, Marjorie, and Autumn to arrive. When they did, Marjorie stormed in, saying, "Wait, wait, wait! No one's being dismissed!" Reece walked in after her looking irritated.

"What's got you in such a bad mood?" Mia asked, hands on her hips.

Reece glared at her, "We had to cut our first holiday together short because even internationally, you are a giant pain in the ass." Note to self: never interrupt another one of their holidays. He was definitely not going to forgive her for that.

"She won't be for much longer," Marjorie said to him as she grabbed his hand. "Roger, we have proof that Jodie is innocent."

Roger looked confused and a little disappointed, "You have?" Marjorie said yes and then ushered for me to come into the office with the rest of them.

When I entered the office, I saw Mia smirking at me. Her eyes only focused on me now. "Wow. This is all really intense." I was nervous to be speaking in front of everyone, especially since I was the only one who knew what was about to happen.

Mia got a cheeky grin on her face and said, "If you're nervous about speaking in front of all of us, just picture us all naked." She winked after she said it, and I felt my cheeks get warm. Almost as if it were instinct, I couldn't help but stare at her and imagine it. I quickly snapped myself out of it and tried to continue with my explanation of Jodie's innocence.

Autumn entered apologizing for her tardiness. For someone who had been sick all week, and still was, she looked very put together. Marjorie filled her in on what she missed, which wasn't much, and then I started to speak again.

"Anyway, Jodie was on the tablet writing up an observation when Mia cam in and pulled her out," I looked in her direction which I quickly realized was a mistake because I started to think of her comment again. I had to keep my eyes on another spot in the room so no one would catch on to what kept happening.

I could feel her smiling at me, "That's right," she said, looking back at Roger to confirm my story.

"I went on to the history of the computer and saw that the Louis Vitton website was accessed at 10:38."

Roger looked annoyed, "And?"

"Well," I continued, "Jodie was still in ratio then. It wasn't until a child was picked up at 11 that Mia came in to get her that she was even able to leave the room." I was proud of myself for getting through all of that without chickening out. From the corner of my eye, Mia looked proud, too. "The observation on the tablet proves that Jodie wasn't the one who did it because she was on the tablet, in the room with us, and not on the computer."

Marjorie crossed her arms and smirked like we had already won.

Roger rolled his eyes. "Jodie would've had to be in two places at once, so it couldn't have been her." I said, looking over at Mia for a moment and then saying, "It had to have been... someone else..." Throwing her under the bus made me so uncomfortable for reasons I didn't quite understand. I could feel her eyes on me again. I was hoping she wouldn't get upset.

Marjorie chimed in, "Hm, Roger. I wonder who the only other person was in the office at that time?" Her tone was so sarcastic.

"Well. Obviously, we're going to have to investigate this further, but it's good to know it wasn't Jodie." Roger said, looking at Mia. Wait. Why was he looking at Mia?
