*A/N- I think since I did a chapter on Autumn and Mia, I should do another one of Mia and Reece as kids. Let me know if that's something you guys would want. Happy reading! Enjoy!

(MIA POV)
I sat on my sofa for a long time before deciding what I was going to do. Finding my dad, along with Reece and Autumn's mum, was my number one priority.

"How am I supposed to find him? The only thing I have is his picture and some stupid bank note from Roger's safe." I was thinking aloud while pacing and biting my nails.

"Come on, Mia, think. There's got to be something here." I grabbed the bank note and started examining it closer. There were a few addresses on it, but nothing out of the ordinary.

I decided to take a break and get myself a glass of wine from the kitchen. Pouring myself what could be considered a mega-pint of wine, I moved back to the sofa.

Before I could sit down and get comfortable, there was a knock at the door. "Please don't be Roger. Please don't be Roger." I said, going to open the door.

It wasn't Roger. Thank God.

"Mia." Reece said, "Can I come in?" He was favoring one of his hands. His knuckles were purple and barely bleeding.

"That depends. Are you here to yell at me, or are you here for ice?" I asked him, blocking him from entering. He rolled his eyes before pushing past me. I was going to let him in anyway, but he didn't have to come in with so much attitude. "Great. A bit of both, then?"

I led him to the kitchen and pulled some frozen peas out for his hand. "Thanks."

"I'm guessing the rest of the meeting didn't go see well?" I looked at his hand and back to him.

He grunted, "Oh, you mean after you dropped that bombshell on everyone, and then left to go talk to your girlfriend? Yeah, it went great." I could practically feel the sarcasm hitting me in the face.

"Charlotte's not my girlfriend." I said back to him.

"Funny how I never said her name, but you knew who I was talking about." Shit. Screw him and his observational skills.

"How did you figure that out?" I asked, going to sit across from him.

"It wasn't that hard. Plus, I know you, Mia. Just like how I know you weren't lying in the office." He shifted uncomfortably in his seat.

"I wanted to tell you a long time ago, but you have to understand that I didn't know how to." I was embarrassed so I couldn't look him in the eye.

He sighed and went to speak again, "What else did he offer you? You're too smart to have only been in it for the money."

I held my breath as he asked me. Sometimes, I'd forget that he didn't know the truth about our absent parents. He'd already been told everything else, so in the spirit of honesty, I decided he needed to know the rest. "Roger was going to tell me where my dad was if I helped him. I know what you're thinking. You're probably asking yourself why he would know that." He nodded, and I continued, "It wasn't just a coincidence that your mum left the same time my dad did... they ran off together..."

Reece's eyes shot up quickly. I couldn't tell if he was more upset or angry that I'd kept this from him for so long. "You've known all this time? All those years we spent together and you didn't tell me? You didn't mention it once?" His voice started to shake.

"Reece, it's not that simple. There were other factors I had to consider." Seeing him so angry at me was hard, but he needed to know.

"Other factors? What- what are you talking about?" He said, throwing his good hand onto his lap.
