The suddenly appearing woman was extraordinarily beautiful, exuding an ethereal and unmatched grace. Bilan was stunned, finally understanding what it meant to be "as beautiful as a celestial being."

This senior sister was Ren Qingyue, the first disciple of Yuanqing Xianzun, the Peak Master of Tianzhu Peak.

Ren Qingyue had been a disciple under Yuanqing Xianzun for over a thousand years. She was the first disciple of the Fuyun Sect to successfully reach the Nascent Soul stage before the age of 800, truly a favored child of the heavens.

However, this senior sister had spent most of her years training in the mortal world and was rarely seen. When she suddenly appeared before everyone, many inner disciples didn't recognize her at first, but they were all struck by her extraordinary demeanor and dared not act disrespectfully.

After sheathing her sword, Ren Qingyue didn't bother looking at the chaotic scene. She cast a sideways glance at Luo Qi, the disciple with the highest cultivation among them, and asked, "What happened here?"

The force that had been constricting Yan Zhao's neck suddenly loosened, and she fell to the ground, almost landing hard enough to split herself in half. Coughing violently as she struggled to catch her breath, the reddish tint in her eyes gradually faded. When she finally raised her head, she caught sight of Ren Qingyue's slender and upright figure.

Ren Qingyue casually took out a silk handkerchief and wiped the remaining water off her fingers.

Luo Qi awkwardly forced a smile and, with some hesitation, replied, "I-I don't know either!"

One of the inner disciples who had earlier given Luo Qi advice quickly seized the moment and spoke up:

"We brothers were here training together when we saw Junior Sister Yan drifting downstream. At first, we thought she was tempering her body in the water, but then we realized something was wrong. Senior Brother Luo was just about to save her when this beast suddenly sprang up from beneath the water. Fortunately, Senior Sister arrived in time, and no one was hurt!"

Luo Qi nodded vigorously. "Yes, yes! I was just about to save her before you arrived, Senior Sister!"

Ren Qingyue remained silent, her long eyelashes fluttering slightly like butterfly wings. She then turned her gaze to Bilan.

Bilan, still shaken, met Ren Qingyue's gaze and felt her heart race. Her pulse quickened as she caught a glimpse of Luo Qi signaling her, hoping to muddle through the situation.

She heard a faint voice in her ear: "If you vouch for me, I'll recommend you to Master and ensure you receive the best cultivation resources."

Avoiding his gaze, Bilan clenched her fists nervously and spoke in a firm voice, "They're lying!"

Luo Qi's face changed dramatically. "You—!"

Before he could say another word, Bilan suddenly dropped to her knees with a thud and respectfully bowed to Ren Qingyue, recounting the entire incident truthfully.

"I'm new here and didn't dare go against my senior brothers' orders." Determined, Bilan bowed again. "I was the one who pushed Junior Sister Yan into the water. I know I was wrong. Please, Senior Sister, punish me!"

Luo Qi's eyes widened in anger, and he vehemently denied, "You're lying! We all saw it—you and Yan Zhao were arguing by the river, and you heartlessly pushed her in. I felt sorry for you because you're new and don't understand the rules, so I tried to cover for you. I never expected you to turn on me like this!"

Several inner disciples, siding with Luo Qi, echoed his words.

Bilan hadn't expected Luo Qi to be so shameless. In her panic, she looked around for someone to back her up, but her fellow disciples all avoided her gaze. Their expressions were mixed, and their eyes carried subtle ridicule and disdain.
