Bi Lan couldn't remember the last time she had run like this. She ran so hard that her clothes were soaked in sweat, and she was out of breath, all because she had caught a glimpse of a figure in the crowd that looked so familiar.

She anxiously ran down the long street, looking left and right at the intersection. The scenery around her and the passing cultivators seemed to swirl around her in circles. It was as if she had forgotten that she was skilled in divination, her specialty in finding things. But when the street split into several different paths, she didn't dare waste even a moment and chose one based purely on instinct.

Fortunately, her luck was good. The figure reappeared in her sight, and her steps quickened and grew more urgent. "Sister Mu!" Bi Lan shouted, grabbing the hand of the person in front of her.

The figure turned around, revealing a completely unfamiliar face. The person looked at her with confusion and impatience. "Who are you?"

Bi Lan stood frozen for a moment, then awkwardly let go of the hand. "S-Sorry, I mistook you for someone else."

Perhaps the disappointment in Bi Lan's eyes was too obvious, as the stranger swallowed back any harsh words that had been on the tip of her tongue. She simply turned away, saying, "Be careful."

The woman's figure gradually disappeared into the distance, and only then did Bi Lan snap back to reality. Upon closer inspection, the woman's figure merely resembled someone she remembered, but the aura was completely different. It had been her own emotional blindness that had led to this mistaken identity.

Bi Lan felt lost and disheartened.

Up in a nearby pavilion, a woman stood by the window, watching the scene unfold for a long time. Her companion ascended the steps and, noticing her pause, asked, "Why did you stop? What are you looking at?"

The woman lowered the bamboo curtain, withdrawing her gaze, and replied coldly, "Nothing."

There was a cool, distant air about her, and her companion could only shake his head in resignation, warning, "When we meet the esteemed guest later, you should restrain your temper a little."

Without responding, the woman continued walking ahead, leaving behind a proud and aloof figure. Her companion sighed and couldn't help but mutter, "Xuanyuan Mu, you're not the young lady of the Xuanyuan family anymore."

It wasn't clear whether she heard him, as she never turned back.

Yan Zhao walked slowly through the streets of the Immortal Market, holding a rope in her hand. She looked left, then right, carefully searching for the Immortal Alliance outpost. The outpost was too well-hidden; she had been looking for half an hour and still hadn't found the place to claim her bounty.

Passersby stopped in their tracks, staring in shock. Could someone really be committing violence in broad daylight? And the perpetrator was a delicate-looking girl with skin as fair as jade! The rope in Yan Zhao's hand was tied to two men being dragged behind her. One of them, the burly one, had even lost a shoe along the way. Both men appeared unconscious, and it wasn't clear whether they were dead or alive.

This was the Immortal Alliance's jurisdiction. How could such malicious behavior be allowed? A righteous swordsman stepped forward, his sense of justice piqued. He shouted, "Stop right there!"

But the girl continued walking as if she hadn't heard him. The swordsman's face flushed with anger, and the mocking gazes of the surrounding crowd only fueled his shame. He wasn't about to back down, so he flew forward on his sword, landing in front of Yan Zhao and blocking her path with his weapon. "I said, stop!"
