The Medicine God had mentioned only a few herbs verbally, but the booklet he gave Yan Zhao was so thick.
Yan Zhao grinned and said, "As expected of my master, he's even better at slacking off than I am."
When she finished flipping through the booklet, Yan Zhao furrowed her brows, propped her chin in thought for a moment, and then took out the map given by the elder of the Fuyun Sect from her Cosmos Bag.
She spread out the map and several familiar place names appeared in her view.
She compared the locations on the map with the ones listed in the booklet.
"Forgot to bring a pen because I was in such a rush," Yan Zhao murmured to herself. She then bit her fingertip and used her blood to mark the map.
It was essential to confirm her current location to determine which of the marked places was closer.
Yan Zhao put away the map and booklet, then got up and crawled out of the tree hollow.
She needed to find a populated area and ask for directions.
At the Medicine God Sect, the Medicine God, who was meditating alone in the alchemy building, suddenly opened his eyes.
A black insect crawled across the roof beam. When he looked up, it hid into a dark crack.
The Medicine God snorted coldly in his heart.
The Celestial Alliance's people were back on the mountain.
These two had not appeared within the Medicine God Sect but were secretly using their divine senses to control insects to spy around, relying on their status as Celestial Alliance envoys without fear of being discovered by the Medicine God.
The Medicine God looked disdainful.
If they wanted to investigate, so be it.
On a high slope to the west of the sect, Yuan Jin and Zhang Gao wore serious expressions.
"Still haven't found anything?" Zhang Gao asked impatiently.
The search was not going smoothly.
A few days after they descended the mountain, Yuan Jin used a secret method to summon a group of small spirit insects to gather information within the Medicine God Sect.
After several days, they finally discovered where the Medicine God's new disciple was residing.
However, now, apart from the Medicine God, who was cultivating alone, there was no other presence in the alchemy building.
Yuan Jin dispelled the spell and shook his head helplessly, "Nothing found."
Zhang Gao angrily said, "That old fox is cunning and sly; he must have already secretly hidden the person! We need to confront him directly!"
Yuan Jin frowned, "If we confront him directly, he will act clueless, and what can you do about it?"
Zhang Gao thought for a moment, his eyes sharpening, "If he wants to act clueless, we're not easily deceived. Since reasoning won't work, we should use force!"
Yuan Jin was shocked, "You want to fight the Medicine God?"
"What's wrong with that?" Zhang Gao was very displeased with Yuan Jin's caution and coldly retorted, "Even though our cultivation is suppressed, are we afraid of these mortal beings?"
With that, he headed towards the entrance of the Medicine God Sect.
Yuan Jin tried to stop him, anxiously slapping his thighs, but there was no other way, so he could only follow.
