Bi Lan felt a deep sense of confusion.

Upon closer inspection of the grass-made fox, she suddenly understood. It must be a toy made by Yan Zhao for the fox, so it could be considered something belonging to the fox after all.

Bi Lan took the grass fox from Yan Zhao's hand, nearly knocking off its eyes, and was glared at sharply by Yan Zhao.

"Cough." Bi Lan awkwardly adjusted the green bean eyes back into place and tried to reassure Yan Zhao, "Junior Sister Yan, please wait a moment while I perform a spell."

Yan Zhao fell silent and quietly stood aside, waiting patiently.

Bi Lan made a hand gesture, drawing a thread of aura from the grass fox and using the compass to determine the direction.

Soon, the compass needle stabilized, revealing the divination results.

Bi Lan breathed a sigh of relief. For some reason, this divination felt more tense than usual.

She returned the grass fox to Yan Zhao and said, "Junior Sister Yan, please follow me."

Yan Zhao put away the grass fox and mounted Bi Lan's flying sword.

After a short flight, Bi Lan spoke, "It should be around here."

Yan Zhao looked down and saw a forest—it was the plum grove where she had slept earlier. Could the little fox have returned?

Thinking this, Bi Lan began descending.

Bi Lan chose a clear, flat area to set Yan Zhao down. "Let's search around here together."

Yan Zhao was focused on determining the location of the tree where she had slept, so she didn't respond to Bi Lan.

After a moment, Bi Lan asked, "By the way, Junior Sister Yan, what is your fox's name?"

Yan Zhao replied, "It doesn't have a name."

Bi Lan was not surprised; Yan Zhao didn't seem like someone who would name a fox.

But since Yan Zhao rarely cared about things, Bi Lan took the initiative to suggest, "You should give it a name. That way, even if it runs far, you can still call it back."

Yan Zhao considered this for a moment and seemed to find it reasonable.

But what name should she choose?

Yan Zhao thought deeply.

As Bi Lan accompanied Yan Zhao in the plum grove searching for the little fox, she caught sight of a blue shadow in the distance.

"There's someone over there!" Bi Lan grabbed Yan Zhao's arm.

Yan Zhao turned around. "It's not the fox."

Bi Lan chuckled, "We can ask. Since someone is in the forest, perhaps they might have seen something?"

Yan Zhao was persuaded and nodded. "Alright, let's ask."

They made their way through the trees towards the blue shadow.

A woman's silhouette gradually became clear.

When her face was fully revealed, Bi Lan was astonished and stopped in her tracks. "S-Senior Sister?"

Ren Qingyue was also surprised.

She was about to divine where Yan Zhao had gone but was unexpectedly bumped into by Yan Zhao, who had abruptly turned back.

Yan Zhao's gaze lingered on Ren Qingyue for a moment but quickly shifted to the tree next to her.
