Yan Zhao and Lei Shuang, two childish individuals, were in the midst of a heated argument.

The main tent was noisy, and the commotion made Feng Jin's temples throb with pain.

Bang—

Feng Jin slammed the table with force and shouted angrily, "Stop it! What are you all making such a racket for?!"

The room fell silent, and Lei Shuang stopped moving.

Then, an orange peel fell from the sky and landed on Lei Shuang's head.

Yan Zhao ignored Feng Jin's command.

"Hey! You little rascal!" Lei Shuang, enraged to the point of laughing, ignored Feng Jin and tossed the orange peel back.

A new round of skirmishes began.

The other two in the hall, the fox and A Ling, were left dumbfounded.

The little fox tried to stop Yan Zhao, tugging at her pants to signal that they should leave.

Only then did Yan Zhao stop, giving a last look at the complex expressions of the people present.

Especially, she sneered at Lei Shuang before picking up her little fox and leaving without looking back.

Lei Shuang was covered in various fruit peels and cursed, "How dare you push your luck!"

How could there be someone more childish than her?!

After Yan Zhao left, Lei Shuang shook off the fruit peels from her clothes, performed a hand seal to clean herself up, and then turned to Feng Jin: "This little creature is quite interesting. Where did you find her?"

Feng Jin rubbed her forehead in frustration: "She came uninvited."

An unexpected answer, and Lei Shuang laughed heartily: "So impatient? If you don't like her, should I take her to Fog Demon Gorge?"

Feng Jin shot her a look: "Thank heavens, please take her away."

"Not a chance." Lei Shuang quickly changed her mind. "You're trying to set me up here. I'm not leaving!"

Feng Jin sighed: "Do as you wish."

Yan Zhao left the main tent and yawned sleepily.

The little fox kept tugging at her pants, seemingly wanting to go down the mountain, making anxious little noises.

Yan Zhao didn't understand: "Where do you want to go?"

The little fox: Hmph!

Anywhere would do! Just not staying in the stronghold; it's too dangerous!

If Lei Shuang discovered the demon blood hidden within Yan Zhao, she might be captured, and that would be disastrous!

Yan Zhao picked up the little fox and rubbed its small head: "If we go down the mountain, we'll have to find our own food. Can you handle that, you picky little fox?"

The little fox: ......

Who can't handle it?

After saying that, Yan Zhao hugged the little fox and turned back to the guest room.

Once the door was closed, Yan Zhao lay down on the bed and covered herself: "Don't disturb me; we'll talk when I wake up."

The little fox, feeling aggrieved, jumped onto the bed and pressed its little paw on Yan Zhao's nose.

Yan Zhao: ?

Unable to breathe.

She pushed the troublesome little paw away, grabbed the little fox, and pulled it into her arms.
