When Luo Qi saw the person outside the woodshed, his face turned pale with fear.

The information he had acquired only mentioned that there were treasures on the mountain, but it hadn't revealed that the stronghold was held by a rogue cultivator. Though the cultivator's skills were not higher than theirs, their archery was exceptional, and with magical artifacts to assist, the two of them together were no match.

This is a disaster!

Luo Qi internally wailed, remembering his master's warnings about the treacheries of the Jianghu. He hadn't taken them seriously, but he didn't expect to encounter such a tough opponent right after descending the mountain.

Bandits on the mountain were not like the fellow disciples in the Fuyun Sect, who would hold back a little due to his master's status.

Were they going to die here today?

As Feng Jin entered the woodshed, Luo Qi's ears picked up the rhythmic sound of footsteps.

Fearful, he spoke in a panic: "W-What are you going to do?! I tell you, let me go now! Otherwise, if my master finds out, he'll definitely destroy your bandit stronghold and make sure you meet a terrible end!"

Lin Chao was infuriated by Luo Qi's foolishness, thinking, Idiot! Haven't you had enough of a beating?

He was so enraged that he feared Luo Qi might anger Feng Jin and cause trouble for himself, so he stomped hard on Luo Qi's foot.

Luo Qi let out a yelp of pain, pulling his foot back and twitching as he glared angrily at Lin Chao: "What are you doing?!"

Lin Chao scolded him: "Be quiet!"

The two glared at each other, neither willing to back down.

At that moment, Feng Jin spoke: "I have no enmity with you two. The previous conflict might just be a misunderstanding."

Lin Chao's eyes lit up upon hearing this, and he quickly nodded: "Yes, yes, it's a misunderstanding!"

Adopting a desperate attitude, he continued: "We were deceived and somehow ended up on this mountain, disturbing your cultivation. We're truly sorry. Please, show mercy and let us go!"

Feng Jin responded: "I have the same intention."

Luo Qi was momentarily stunned by the possibility of leaving, then immediately changed his tone: "Yes, it's a misunderstanding! Please, release us, and we'll leave the mountain right away!"

Feng Jin raised a hand: "Before you leave, there is one thing I'd like to confirm with you."

Luo Qi's hope faltered, and he cursed Feng Jin internally, but said: "Confirm what?"

Lin Chao was relieved that Luo Qi finally spoke reasonably, and he added: "Please, go ahead."

Feng Jin then asked: "Who sent you to search for treasure in my stronghold?"

Luo Qi's expression changed slightly, but Lin Chao had no reservations and answered straightforwardly:

"It was the villagers from Zhuang'an Village down the mountain! We heard from the Immortal Workshop in Luocheng that there had been immortal ruins discovered in the nearby mountains, and treasures were said to have appeared. Upon reaching Zhuang'an Village, we were told by the villagers that the treasures were taken by bandits in the mountain stronghold."

Feng Jin glanced at the little fox beside her, and the fox nodded back.

"Bring them here," Feng Jin instructed her two helpers, "Untie them and escort them out of the stronghold."
