Lei Shuang woke up and opened her eyes, realizing she was lying on her own bed. The blanket was properly covering her, but even its light weight made her body ache all over. Still, it was much better than before she had fallen unconscious. Her external injuries had been treated, and the scene of Jiang Ying bandaging her wounds with a cold expression while muttering complaints flashed through Lei Shuang's mind.

Since her wounds had to be treated, her clothes had to be removed, and luckily she had been unconscious at the time; otherwise, she would have felt incredibly embarrassed. Jiang Ying wouldn't have felt awkward, but the thought of Jiang Ying seeing her completely naked made Lei Shuang blush, her heart racing uncontrollably with wild thoughts. Now she finally understood why Jiang Ying had reacted so oddly and angrily when Lei Shuang had accidentally walked in on her bathing.

But it was in the past now, and mentioning it again would just earn her a scolding.

The door suddenly opened, and with a strange sense of expectation, Lei Shuang turned her head. However, her anxious heart immediately sank when she saw who it was. It was Feng Jin, not Jiang Ying.

"Hey!" Feng Jin placed the tray she was carrying on the table and glanced at Lei Shuang. "You look way too disappointed. What, you're not happy I came to see you?"

Lei Shuang's eyes flickered. "No, not at all."

Feng Jin snorted and picked up a bowl of medicinal food, handing it to Lei Shuang along with a pair of chopsticks. "Sit up and eat by yourself."

Lei Shuang muttered softly, "So heartless!"

"Fine." Feng Jin picked up a thin slice of meat with the chopsticks and held it out toward Lei Shuang. "I'll feed you. Do you dare to eat it?"

Lei Shuang: "..."

"Go away!" Lei Shuang sat up, grabbed the bowl from Feng Jin, and changed the subject. "How long was I asleep?"

"One day, exactly twelve hours," Feng Jin replied.

Lei Shuang glanced outside and saw that it was indeed deep into the night. She picked through the rare spirit beast meat in the bowl and casually asked, "Where's Jiang Ying?"

"She's guarding the Demon Lord, couldn't leave," Feng Jin said as she sat down at the edge of the bed, polishing her bow. "I brought you back."

Lei Shuang: "???"

"Wait!" Lei Shuang's face turned pale. "Did you also change my clothes?!"

Feng Jin didn't look up. "No, Jiang Ying had already changed them and treated your wounds when I got there. I just brought you back."

Lei Shuang let out a sigh of relief. "Oh, good."

"?" Feng Jin glanced at her. "You're not fighting with Jiang Ying anymore? When did you make up? You can handle her stripping you?"

Lei Shuang, while eating, mumbled, "None of your business. You wouldn't understand."

Feng Jin: "?"

After quickly finishing her meal, Lei Shuang felt a wave of warmth spread through her body as the medicinal energy circulated inside, making her feel much better. She set the bowl aside and asked, "Has the Demon Lord come out of seclusion yet?"

"Should be soon," Feng Jin replied, carefully tending to her bow. "Within the next two days."

Just as she finished speaking, the communication jade at her waist began to glow faintly. Feng Jin put away her bow and channeled her magic into the jade. Jiang Ying's voice came through, brisk and direct: "The Demon Lord has emerged. Come quickly."
