The Gate of Void was sealed again, and the last trace of red light on the black moon faded into pure darkness. Although the strength of the seal was not as strong as before, it could hold for a while until the heavens learned of the changes here and sent someone to reinforce it.

The Fox Emperor slowly withdrew his power. As he stood, a wave of dizziness washed over him, and a sense of weakness spread throughout his body.

"Father!"

Seeing the Fox Emperor sway, Tu Shan Yu felt a tightness in her chest and hurriedly rushed forward to support him.

Suddenly, the ground collapsed over a large area, and several foreign spirits crawled out from beneath.

Tu Shan Yu gasped in shock, "Father!!!"

In the distance, Yao Shenzi and Bai Jin's expressions also changed drastically.

"Who's there?!" Yao Shenzi swiftly moved to where the attacker had hidden, but the ground held a small, inconspicuous hole, and the assailant had already escaped underground.

That person was exceptionally skilled in stealth; even Yao Shenzi hadn't sensed their approach.

The Fox Emperor fell backward, and Tu Shan Yu lunged to catch him.

Several foreign spirits approached with claws bared, but a fireball fell from the sky, crashing down and taking out a group of them.

Bai Jin arrived, worry etched on her face. "Cousin, how is my uncle?"

Tu Shan Yu's eyes flashed with rage, bloodshot with anger. "It must be the demon clan! They're taking advantage of the situation!"

Yao Shenzi returned to Tu Shan Yu's side after searching for the attacker without success.

Hearing this, he didn't share in her hatred but snorted quietly, "What benefit would the demon clan gain from laying a trap?"

Tu Shan Yu gritted her teeth in frustration. "The demon clan has always been at odds with our fox clan. Is this the first time the Sky Blue Arrow Demon has attacked my father?! Who knows what they're thinking!"

Yao Shenzi was also angry and shouted sternly, "Foolish!"

Bai Jin suddenly connected Yao Shenzi's earlier words and speculated, "Do you mean that the one who harmed my uncle did so to shift blame onto the demon clan and incite conflict between the demon clan and our fox clan?"

Yao Shenzi glanced at her. "That theory does have some merit, but since the attacker has fled, we lack evidence. The urgent matter now is to save him."

He bent down and took out a pill to feed the Fox Emperor, temporarily sustaining his life.

"This isn't a safe place to linger; we must leave quickly," he advised Tu Shan Yu, "Don't act impulsively; rash actions will only worsen the situation. Think before you act."
