Dimitri entered Crystal's room with quiet
steps, anticipation radiating through
him. She lay there, her fragile body still,
looking as peaceful as ever. His heart
swelled at the sight of her, so innocent,
So delicate. He knelt down beside her
bed, sitting on the floor, close enough to
feel her soft breaths. Gently, he brushed
a strand of hair off her face, eager to
admire the beauty he adored. But as
soon as her face came into full view, his
smile vanished.

A dark mark, the shape of a handprint,
was faintly bruised on her cheek. His
eyes darkened, his jaw clenched. His
fingers ran over the delicate skin of her
wrist next, finding more evidence-a
deep red imprint of fingers, like
someone had gripped her too tightly.

Anger surged like a storm, violent and
uncontrollable. His breathing quickened,
and he stood abruptly, his entire
demeanor shifting into something
dangerous.

"GUARDS!" he roared, the sound echoing
through the halls.

Within seconds, the men he had
instructed to give her the injection
rushed in, panic already setting in as
they saw the fury on Dimitri's face.
"What happened, sir?" one asked
cautiously, glancing nervously at
Crystal's unconscious form.

Dimitri didn't speak at first. His hand
moved to his holster, pulling out his qun
in a swift, practiced motion. He aimed it
at them, his finger twitching near the
trigger. "Who the hell did this to her?"
His voice was deadly, cold.

The guards exchanged frightened
glances, one of them trembling slightly.
"We didn't, sir! We swear, we only gave
her the injection like you ordered!"

"Then explain THIS!" Dimitri's voice was
a snarl as he grabbed Crystal's wrist,
showing the red finger marks. "You held
her too tight. You hurt her. How could
you be so careless?!"

The men's faces drained of color as they
realized the extent of his rage. "Sir, she's
just.. sensitive. Maybe-"

"Maybe?" Dimitri stepped forward, eyes
blazing with fury. "Maybe she felt pain
because of your carelessness?!" His
voice grew darker, the emotion lacing
every word with venom. "Do you have
any idea what pain feels like to her? You
don't, do you? But now, you're about to."

One guard stumbled backward, his
knees weak from fear. The other tried to
speak, his words failing as Dimitri's
finger tightened on the trigger.

"Die," Dimitri said with eerie calmness,
"for hurting my doll."

The gunshot rang out, loud and
deafening, followed by another. Both
guards collapsed to the floor, lifeless, as
blood began to pool around their bodies.

The sound of the gunshots jolted
Crystal from her unconscious state, her
eyes fluttering open, confused and
disoriented.

Her vision cleared, and the first thing
she saw was Dimitri standing over the
two dead men, gun still smoking in his
hand. Panic surged through her as she
sat up quickly, backing away against the
headboard, her heart pounding in terror.

Dimitri turned toward her, the anger
draining from his face instantly as his
expression softened.

"Don't be scared, doll," he said gently, his voice now soothing, a stark contrast to the
monster he had just been.

Crystaľ's breathing was ragged, tears
welling up in her eyes. "Why did you kill
them?" she asked, her voice shaking,
fear laced with every word.

Dimitri took a step toward her, his face
soft and caring, as if what had just
happened was nothing out of the
ordinary. "Because they hurt you," he
said calmly, as though the explanation
was enough.

"They touched you," Dimitri said, his
voice low but intense. "They made you
feel pain. No one is allowed to do that.
No one but me. You're mine, Crystal, and
I will kill anyone who harms you."

Her tears began to fall, her hands
shaking as she tried to process the
horror of what she'd just witnessed.
"You killed them.. just because of that?"

Her breath caught in her throat, realizing
now the extent of his madness.
