Dimitri sat on couch, waiting, as the police officer in front of him shifted uncomfortably. The tension in the room was palpable. His mind was already running through the events of the last few days, but he wore a calm, calculated expression as if nothing could shake him.

The officer cleared his throat. "Sir, we've received a report about a missing girl. Her name is Crystal, and someone reported seeing your men taking her."

Dimitri leaned back in his chair, his fingers interlaced on the table in front of him, a hint of a smirk playing on his lips. "So what?"

The officer hesitated for a moment before continuing. "Sir, the girl in question is not just any girl. She's Crystal Maria. Her family... well, you know they're connected to the mafia. We believe she's been taken, we need to investigate the possibility that she may be here."

Dimitri's smirk widened. "You're suggesting I'm involved in some kidnapping, officer?"

The officer straightened his back, his voice firmer now. "Sir, if she's here, it would be better for everyone if you just told us. We know how these things work. Her family is dangerous. If you have her, returning her now might avoid a lot of unnecessary bloodshed."

Dimitri's dark eyes narrowed. "You can search my property if you want. But I'll tell you now-she's not here."

The officer exchanged glances with his partner before nodding. "We'll have to take a look around, just to be sure."

"Be my guest," Dimitri said smoothly, standing up and gesturing toward the door. "I've got nothing to hide."

The officers moved through the estate, searching every corner, checking every room. Dimitri followed them at a distance, his expression unreadable, though his mind was already calculating the next step. He knew they wouldn't find Crystal. He had made sure of that.

After a thorough search, the officers returned, empty-handed. The first officer looked at Dimitri, his expression slightly apologetic but still suspicious. "Looks like we didn't find anything."

Dimitri raised an eyebrow. "Like I told you, officer. She's not here. Now, if you're done wasting my time, I have business to attend to."

The officers exchanged another glance before nodding. "We'll be on our way, but if we hear anything else..."

Dimitri interrupted, his voice low and dangerous. "If you hear anything else, officer, you come to me directly. We wouldn't want any... misunderstandings."

The officers left without another word, and Dimitri watched them go, the smile on his face slowly returning as the door closed behind them.

As soon as the police were out of sight, Dimitri's thoughts returned to Crystal, the girl who had so unexpectedly become the center of his world. It wasn't just her beauty or her innocence that had captivated him. It was something more-something he hadn't been able to understand until he'd dug deeper into her background.

Crystal wasn't just any girl. She was the daughter of the Maria family, the very family his own had been enemies with for generations. His fingers drummed on the table as he recalled the bitter history between their families. It wasn't just about business-it was personal.

Years ago, one of Crystal's uncles had taken his aunt forcefully in the name of love, a move that had sparked the long-standing feud between their mafias. The bad blood between their families had grown deeper with each passing year, and now, it was time for Dimitri to take something back.

Crystal had been an unexpected blessing, a girl he had fallen for the moment he saw her. But now, she represented something much more. Revenge.

A smile tugged at his lips as he leaned back in his chair, running a hand through his hair. "Gosh, doll," he muttered under his breath, "you don't even know what you've gotten yourself into."

He had ordered a background check on her the day after they met. The details he'd uncovered had only fueled his obsession. Crystal was twenty, a college student, bubbly, friendly, easygoing, kind, and caring-everything about her was divine. The kind of girl any man would fall for. But more than that, she was Maria's daughter.

Fate, it seemed, had a twisted sense of humor.

She wasn't just a random girl who had caught his eye. She was the key to hitting two birds with one stone. By making her his, Dimitri would get the girl he had fallen in love with, and at the same time, he would deliver a blow to her family that they would never recover from. Just like her uncle had taken his family's girl, Dimitri was going to take theirs.

"Perfect," he muttered, his smile growing darker as he thought about the future.

He had to admit, at first, he hadn't realized who she was. All he had seen was a beautiful, innocent girl, someone completely different from the world he was used to. Her kindness, her laughter, her carefree attitude-it had drawn him in. But now that he knew the truth, his desire for her had only grown stronger.

She was his. And soon, the whole world would know it.

Dimitri glanced at his phone, considering whether to check on her, but he knew she was still safely locked in the room. She wouldn't be going anywhere-not until he was ready to let her.

With one last glance toward the door where the police had exited, he leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes for a moment, allowing himself to imagine the future he had planned.

Crystal would be his. And her family would pay.
