Crystal sobbed, struggling to
hold on, as Hazel's dad loomed over her
with a dark smile, his eyes gleaming
with twisted satisfaction.

"Now it's time to put a full stop on your
little love story" he sneered, gripping her
tightly. Crystal felt the cold blade of the
knife press against her neck, her heart
pounding as she closed her eyes,
believing this was truly the end.

Just then, a familiar voice echoed
through the dim room.

"Stop!" Dimitri's voice was weak but
determined. He staggered in, his face
streaked with blood, his head bleeding
heavily, barely able to keep himself
upright.

Crystal's tear-filled eyes widened, a
glimmer of hope flickering within them
as she looked at Dimitri. "Dimitri..." she
whispered, thinking it might be the last
time she'd see him.

Dimitri's legs buckled, and he fell to his
knees, his face twisted in desperation.
"Let her go," he pleaded, his voice
cracking. "I'll do anything you want. You
want me to marry Hazel? Fine. I'll do it...
whatever you say. Just... let her go.

Hazel's dad laughed coldly, pressing the
knife harder against Crystal's neck, a
thin line of blood trickling down. "You
should have agreed sooner. Now.. it's
too late."

"It's not too late!" Dimitri cried out, his
voice filled with raw desperation. "I'Il do
whatever you want. You want revenge
against Maria's family? I'll help you!
Just... please... don't hurt her."

Hazel's dad's smirk deepened, his voice
filled with cruel satisfaction. "Killing her
will be the ultimate revenge. Their only
daughter... imagine the agony it'll

"No!" Dimitri's voice cracked as he
watched Hazel's dad press the knife
closer, ready to end it all. He struggled
to stand, but his body betrayed him,
collapsing under the weight of his
injuries.

Hazel's dad adjusted the knife, the blade
hovering over Crystal's neck, relishing
the fear in her eyes. His grip tightened,
ready to finish the job-until a sudden,
deafening gunshot shattered the
silence.

Crystal froze, her eyes wide with shock.
Hazel's dad's smirk vanished, his body
jerking back as a bullet pierced right
between his brows. In an instant, his
grip on Crystal loosened, and he fell,
lifeless, to the floor.

Dimitri turned, his breath catching as he
saw Elijah standing there, gun still
raised, his face hardened.

"I told you I could save my sister," Elijah
said to Dimitri, his voice steady, though
his eyes were filled with an intense,
unspoken relief.
