The room was dim, with the smell of
metal and fear hanging heavily in the air.
Crystal, Elijah, and Dimitri were bound to
separate chairs, their hands tied tightly
behind them. Each was positioned a few
feet apart, just far enough that they
couldn't reach each other, but close
enough to witness everything happening
in the center of the room.Hazel's father, a figure both chilling and
unyielding, stood at the center with a
cold glare fixed on the line of men in
front of him. His face was emotionless
as he stared down one of his men-the
one who had been with Hazel the day
she'd been kidnapped."You failed me," he said, his voice low
and venomous. The man trembled, his
eyes pleading as he dropped to his
knees."Please, sir... I... l tried... I didn't know..."
the man stammered, his voice cracking
with fear.Hazel's father tilted his head, almost
amused by the pathetic display. Without
a hint of mercy, he lifted his gun, aimed,
and fired. The man screamed as the
bullet tore through his leg, blood pooling
on the floor.Crystal's face went pale as she took in
the scene, her body trembling. Elijah,
sensing her fear, leaned slightly toward
her. "Close your eyes, Crystal. Don't
look," he whispered urgently, knowing
how deeply these things unsettled her.But before she could turn away, Dimitri
Scoffed from his chair. "She's seen
worse by now. If she's still afraid, that's
her own fault for being weak" he said,
his voice laced with disdain.Elijah shot him a glare. "Must be your
influence," he muttered, implying that
Dimitri was the one who had introduced
her to such darkness. Before they could exchange more
Words, Hazel's father turned his
attention to another man in the line, the
one who had failed to track Hazel since
the day she went missing. His gaze
like ice, a lethal calm in his eyes that
made even Dimitri and Elijah look small
in comparison. The man immediately dropped to his
knees, shaking. "Sir, I–""Enough," Hazel's father cut him off, his
tone a deadly whisper. He took a step
forward, pressing the gun against the
man's arm and firing without a second
thought. The man howled in pain,
clutching his bleeding arm, but Hazel's
father wasn't done. He fired again, this
time hitting the man's other leg, his
expression unchanged as he watched
his victim writhe in agony. The man begged, his voice barely
coherent through his cries. "Mercy...
please... ""Mercy?" Hazel's father laughed, his
voice dripping with disdain. "I don't think
you understand who you're dealing
with."He lifted his gun one last time and fired
directly into the man's head, silencing
him instantly. Blood spattered across
the floor, pooling under the lifeless
body. Crystal let out a quiet gasp, her
eyes squeezing shut despite her best
efforts to be strong.Dimitri and Elijah watched in silence,
realizing that when it came to cruelty,
Hazel's father operated on a level they
hadn't dared to reach. This was a man
without limits, a man who commanded
respect through fear and demonstrated
power through sheer, merciless
violence. They exchangeda look, each
of them knowing that even in their
darkest moments, they couldn't match
the depths of his brutality.
