In a dimly lit room surrounded by stoic guards, tension filled the air as Elijah and Dimitri sat across from each other. Elijah’s fists clenched tightly, his eyes blazing with anger, while Dimitri remained calm, reclining casually in his seat, one hand resting on his chin.
“How could you announce Crystal as your girlfriend ?” Elijah’s voice was low but laced with fury.
Dimitri raised an eyebrow, his expression unfazed. “Because she is. Simple as that.”
Elijah slammed his fist on the table, causing a few of the guards to exchange wary glances. “You’re putting her in danger, Do you even understand what you’ve done? She’s now a target for anyone who wants to bring you down.”
Dimitri leaned forward, his gaze steady and unyielding. “No one has been born yet who can do that,” he replied, his voice unwavering. “And no one will lay a hand on her.”
“They’ll try to hurt her. Do you not get that?” Elijah’s voice rose, his frustration evident. “There are people who would stop at nothing to get to you”
A flicker of something dangerous crossed Dimitri’s face, but he remained composed. “Anyone who tries to touch what’s mine will pay the price. That includes Crystal.”
Elijah gritted his teeth, his voice dropping to an icy edge. “Give my sister back to me before it’s too late.”
Dimitri’s lips curled into a slight smirk, tilting his head. “Relax, She’s safe with me.”
Elijah snapped. “We hid her identity for a reason”
Dimitri’s eyes narrowed slightly, curiosity glinting in them. “And that’s what I’m curious about… why exactly did you go to such lengths to hide her?”
Elijah’s jaw tightened, but he remained silent, his gaze flickering as if he was holding back something.
Dimitri studied him for a moment, then gave a small shrug. “Fine, don’t tell me. Not like I can’t figure it out on my own.” He glanced at his watch, his tone casual. “Crystal’s waiting.”
As Dimitri stood and prepared to leave, Elijah’s voice stopped him cold. “I’ll take my sister back soon, Count on it.”
Dimitri paused, glancing over his shoulder with a cool, confident look. “We’ll see,” he said smoothly before walking out, leaving Elijah fuming in silence, the unspoken threat lingering between them like a spark ready to ignite.
Author's Note: Elijah, do something! All you’re doing is talking—I don’t see you taking any action, lol!
