Elijah entered Hazel's hospital room, his heart pounding as he saw her sitting up, her gaze distant and lost. She was staring blankly ahead, as if searching for something just out of reach. He held a bouquet of roses behind his back, feeling the weight of each step as he moved closer.

As her eyes drifted toward him, confusion flickered across her face. She blinked, studying him carefully, before finally speaking. “Who are you?”

Elijah's smile was soft, almost bittersweet, as he lowered himself onto the edge of her bed. He glanced back briefly, noticing Crystal and Dimitri had arrived, but they paused at the door when they saw him holding the flowers. They exchanged a knowing look, choosing to give him this moment alone.

Without missing a beat, Elijah leaned in, his voice gentle yet filled with something deeper. “Someone who is  obsessed with you.”

Hazel’s brows knitted, her lips pressing into a thin line as she tried to understand. “Obsessed?” she repeated, the word foreign on her tongue, as though she were tasting it for the first time.

Outside, Crystal nudged Dimitri with a playful smile. “It’s like the same scene as us,” she whispered, amusement dancing in her eyes.

“Copycat,” Dimitri muttered, feigning annoyance, though a smirk tugged at his lips.

Elijah’s eyes softened as he met Hazel’s gaze again. Her face was etched with vulnerability, a lost soul trying to piece together fragments of a life she couldn’t remember.

“I don’t remember you,” she said softly, her voice tinged with sadness. “I don’t even remember myself.” She looked down at her hands, fidgeting slightly. “Who am I?”

Elijah gently placed the bouquet on her lap, tilting her chin so she’d meet his eyes. “Mine,” he said, his voice a quiet promise, filled with all the love and devotion that had kept him by her side through every hardship.

Hazel blinked, a small tear slipping down her cheek as she stared at him. The word seemed to reach something within her, stirring emotions she couldn’t quite name. “Yours?”

Elijah nodded, brushing the tear away with his thumb. “Yes, mine"

.....

Crystal sat by Hazel’s bedside, gently holding her hand as they exchanged soft smiles and laughter . Outside the room, Elijah leaned against the wall, and Dimitri stood next to him, both observing the warmth shared between the two women inside.

Dimitri glanced over at Elijah, raising an eyebrow. “I saw what you were doing in there, trying to charm your way in.”

Elijah rolled his eyes, a small smirk on his face. “Shut up. You’ve got your girl now, so let me work on getting mine.”

Dimitri gave a slight laugh, crossing his arms. “What if I decide to be an obstacle, just like you were trying to be with me and Crystal?”

Elijah’s smirk turned into a serious expression, meeting Dimitri’s gaze. “Try it, and see what happens.”

Dimitri’s eyes narrowed, his tone deadly serious. “Dare to hurt her, and you won’t live to see the sunset.”

Elijah’s face softened just a bit, but his voice held a warning as he replied, “The same goes for you. I don’t want to hear any cheating rumors , Not even once.”

They both paused, then nodded firmly in agreement, an unspoken understanding and mutual respect passing between them. They both extended their hands, and with a strong shake, they cemented the silent pact.

Turning back to the hospital room, they watched as Hazel laughed at something Crystal said, her face finally showing a glimpse of happiness after so much turmoil. Crystal’s smile matched hers, their bond evident in every shared glance and laugh.
