As Dimitri stormed into Elijah's house,
the guards tried to block his way.
Without hesitation, he overpowered
them, leaving a few of them groaning on
the floor. As he entered the main hall, he
looked up and saw Elijah descending
the stairs, his face calm but with an air
of arrogance."So, you actually came" Elijah said,
smirking as he leaned on the railing.
The guards quickly surrounded Dimitri,
guns raised, ready to fire. But Elijah
raised a hand, his command clear.
"Stand down," he ordered, and the
guards lowered their weapons without
question."Give me Hazel" Dimitri demanded, his
voice cold."No greeting? No pleasantries?" Elijah
taunted, crossing his arms. "Come now,
Dimitri, don't be rude.""This isn't the time for games, Elijah,"
Dimitri snapped. "You have no idea what
you've started. If he finds out that you're
the one holding Hazel-""Oh, stop repeating yourselE" Elijah
interrupted, rolling his eyes. He was
clearly unfazed by Dimitri's threats.Just as Dimitri was about to retort, a
voice called out his name. "Dimitri..."
They both turned to see Crystal standing
near the stairs, her eyes shimmering
with tears."Crystal, go back inside," Elijah said, his
voice firm. But Crystal ignored him and walked
toward Dimitri, stopping right in front of
him. She stared into his eyes, her gaze
full of hurt. Before he could speak, she
slapped him across the face, her hand
trembling with the force of her anger.
Dimitri's jaw tightened, his own anger
simmering, but Crystal wasn't done. She
grabbed his collar, her voice choked as
she spoke. "How dare you do this to me? How could you use me like that?"He reached for her wrist, but she
slapped his hand away, hitting him
harder on his chest. "I thought... I
thought you were mad at me because I
didn't accept your feelings. I thought I
hurt you, and it killed me inside. But
this.. you were just using me!" She hit
him again, her tears falling freely."Enough," Dimitri growled, grabbing her
wrists to stop her. "If you're going to
listen to anyone, listen to the whole
story," he said, his voice low and steely.
"Im not here for drama, Crystal."He turned back to Elijah, his patience
wearing thin. "Where is Hazel?""Hazel!" he shouted, his voice echoing
through the hall.A moment later, Hazel appeared at the
top of the stairs, her face lighting up as
she saw him. She ran down, stopping
just in front of him."Dimitri!" Hazel's voice was soft, full of
relief. As Crystal pulled away from his grip,
Dimitri gently took Hazel's wrist. "Let's
go he said, ignoring the tension in the
room. But just as they turned to leave, Elijah's
hand shot out, grabbing Hazel's other
arm. "She's not going anywhere," he said,
his voice like ice."Elijah, this isn't the time for your
foolishness," Dimitri warned, his grip
tightening on Hazel's wrist."I don't care" Elijah sneered. "She's
staying with me."Before either of them could move, a
loud gunshot rang out, freezing
everyone in place. The echo of the shot
faded, leaving a chilling silence, broken
only by the sound of footsteps
approaching from the shadows.
