Dimitri carried Crystal carefully through the door, her head resting on his shoulder as she toyed with his nose, giggling softly. She was still clearly drunk, her fingers tracing the line of his nose with curiosity.
“You are… handsome,” she murmured, her voice light and playful, though a bit slurred, “but not in a good way.”
He raised an eyebrow, amused. “Oh? Then in what way, doll?”
“In a bad way,” she declared, her gaze narrowing as if she’d figured him out. “Just like a beast.”
He smirked at that, eyes gleaming as he leaned in closer. “Then I suppose we’re that couple they call ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ huh?”
“Keep dreaming,” she shot back, though her lips curved into a small smile.
Dimitri chuckled, pushing open the door to her room and stepping inside. He carefully laid her down on the bed, tucking the blankets around her and making sure she was comfortable. Bending down, he pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. “Go to sleep, doll,” he whispered, his voice gentle.
He was just about to leave when her hand shot out, grabbing his. “Don’t go,” she murmured, her grip firm but trembling slightly.
Dimitri turned back, surprised to see a tear glisten on her cheek, sliding down her flushed face. “What’s wrong?” he asked, his voice softened with concern as he sat beside her.
She shook her head, trying to clear the cloudiness from her gaze, but the emotions surged forward. "Leave me " she said .
“Why are you so determined to leave me?” he asked, his tone suddenly sharper.
“Because if you don’t… I’ll fall in love with you.” Her words carried a hint of irritation, as if frustrated by her own confession.
His lips twitched, a soft smile forming. “Is that so, doll?” He settled down beside her, meeting her eyes with an intense yet tender gaze.
She took a deep, shuddering breath, trying to keep her composure. “You’re so… unreal. You’re handsome, tall, rich, dangerous—just like my favorite fictional villian. And you… you confessed love to me. That’s exactly the kind of thing I always wanted in a partner.”
He remained silent, letting her continue, sensing this was something she needed to say.
“But… I know it’s probably a lie. I’ve always craved this—someone who’d tell me how they love me, who’d always remind me what they see in me…” Her voice cracked, her heart laid bare. “But you… you’re dangerous. A clever man, able to manipulate people. Don’t… don’t do that to me. My heart won’t be able to take it.”
Her words were barely above a whisper when Dimitri leaned in, capturing her lips in a gentle kiss. Crystal’s eyes widened in surprise, her body freezing as his mouth met hers, soft and lingering, full of promise rather than demand. At first, she struggled, her hands pushing against his shoulders, afraid of what this might mean, but he held her wrists gently, pinning them beside her without force. There was no harshness in his touch, no forcefulness, only a tenderness she hadn’t expected.
Slowly, her resistance melted, her mind hazy as she found herself giving in, her heart beating wildly in her chest. The kiss was gentle, filled with a warmth that took her off guard. Every movement was slow, deliberate, his lips caressing hers with a patience that left her breathless.
When he finally pulled back, his eyes were soft, holding hers captive. “Don’t be afraid to fall in love with me, Crystal,” he murmured, his voice a soft plea. “You’ll never regret it.”
She opened her mouth to respond, but the words caught in her throat, her vision blurring as the last of her energy drained. Exhaustion took hold, and before she could say another word, her eyes fluttered closed, sleep claiming her.
Dimitri watched her for a moment, a smile touching his lips. Leaning down, he pressed a final kiss to her forehead. “Goodnight, doll,” he whispered." Tomorrow going to be fun, can't wait to tease you " he almost laughed
The moonlight spilled softly through the window as he left her room, leaving behind the warmth of his touch and the promise of something far deeper.
