Dimitri stormed out, his mind racing with fury and worry, ready to do whatever it took to get Crystal back. As he opened the car door, his phone buzzed in his pocket. Frustrated, he answered with a yell, “What do you want now?”

“What else? My sister,” came Elijah’s equally heated voice.

“If you’re just going to spout the same nonsense, then shut up. I don’t have time for this.”

“Oh, really?” Elijah sneered. “And what about your fiancée? Do you have time for her?”

Dimitri froze, his grip tightening on the phone. “What do you mean?” he demanded, his voice dangerously low.

“Your fiancée is with me,” Elijah said, his tone smug.

“What the hell did you do?” Dimitri shouted, his rage flaring.

“Exactly what you’re doing to my sister—keeping her against her will.”

Dimitri clenched his jaw, nearly shaking with anger. “Do you have any idea what you’ve just done?”

“No, just like you didn’t when you announced my sister as your girlfriend,” Elijah replied coldly.

“You’d better give her back to me soon. She’s not safe with you anymore,” Elijah warned, his patience wearing thin.

“Let her go,” Dimitri demanded, attempting to keep his voice calm, though it was laced with barely-contained fury.

“And why would I?” Elijah taunted.

“Because you’re only putting Crystal in more danger by holding her,” Dimitri shouted back.

“What are you talking about?” Elijah asked, his tone suddenly uncertain.

“She’s been taken,” Dimitri said flatly.

“What the hell?” Elijah’s voice cracked, the severity of the situation finally hitting him.

“Let your hostage go before he find out. Otherwise, you’ll only drag Crystal into more danger,Hazel is his daughter ” Dimitri warned, his tone final.

Without waiting for a response, he hung up, tossing his phone aside. He slipped into the car, his mind focused on one thing: reaching Crystal before it was too late. With a deep breath, he floored the accelerator, speeding off into the night.
