Dimitri held out an elegant, silk dress, his gaze steady on Crystal as he presented it with a sly smile. "Here, doll. Get ready."
Crystal frowned, crossing her arms. "And for what ?"
"We’re going to a party," he replied casually, his eyes glinting with mischief.
She rolled her eyes. "I'd rather stay at home. Crowds and loud music? Not my scene."
"Oh so you started thinking of this place as your home" Dimitri teased .
Crystal just rolled her eyes.
Dimitri stepped closer, closing the gap between them, his voice dropping to a low, persuasive tone. "Too bad. as my partner, you don’t have much of a choice ,You’re coming, like it or not. " He brushed a strand of hair from her face, his fingers lingering on her cheek. "Let’s skip the makeup. It’s not like you need any of that to turn heads."
Crystal swatted his hand away, narrowing her eyes. "I'm not going , if you that interested to take me somewhere take me home "
He smirked "Oh, really? Not even if your brother will be there?"
Her eyes lit up, surprise flickering across her face. "He’ll be there?"
He leaned in closer, his breath warm against her ear. "Yes, but don't get too excited. Doesn't mean he can do anything to take you back."
She crossed her arms, giving him a defiant glare. "He will. He cares about me more than you think."
"Is that so?" he murmured, a dark gleam in his eye. "We’ll see about that, doll. But if you’re that curious, maybe you should ask him why he left you here in the first place."
She bit her lip, his words striking a nerve. Seeing her falter, Dimitri tilted her chin up, holding her gaze with a smirk that was both challenging and playful. "Now, be a good girl and get dressed," he whispered. "I have a feeling this dress is going to look even better on you than I imagined."
Crystal gave him an exasperated look, her cheeks flushed, but Dimitri’s grin only grew as he watched her hesitate, knowing he’d won this round.
