Dimitri cradled Crystal in his arms as he walked through the dimly lit halls of the grand estate. The night was still and cool, the moon casting a soft glow over the surroundings. Crystal wriggled in his hold, her voice tight with resistance, "Let me go, Drimti."

A sly smirk crept across his face as he glanced down at her, teasingly whispering, "I would, if you could walk." His eyes flickered to her feet, still not fully recovered from the injury.

Her cheeks flushed in embarrassment. She tried to hide her face in his chest, aware of the guards and maids silently observing them. The quiet attention only deepened her humiliation, and she buried her face deeper into his shirt, seeking to escape their gaze. Dimitri chuckled softly, clearly amused by her reaction, as he carried her downstairs.

When they reached the bottom, the guards opened a large door leading to the garden, and as they stepped outside, the cool night air wrapped around Crystal. She immediately shivered and instinctively clung to Drimti tighter. "It's cold..." she whispered, her voice barely audible.

"It's the rain, I guess," Dimitri remarked casually, his arms still securely around her. Crystal noticed the subtle possessiveness in his hold, but before she could say anything, he started walking further into the garden.

"Where are you taking me?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.

"Just a minute, doll," he replied, his voice soft but teasing. She was about to press him for more when her eyes widened. It was night, but the entire garden was aglow with strings of delicate lights, casting a warm, magical atmosphere. Roses bloomed everywhere, filling the air with their sweet scent, and there was even a bonfire crackling nearby, radiating warmth into the crisp air. It felt like a scene out of a dream, like a perfect little camping setup, with a tent nestled amidst the flowers.

"What... what is all this?" she asked, her confusion growing.

Dimitri carefully lowered her onto a pillow inside the cozy tent, tucking her in gently. "Time to make one of your wishes come true," he said with a smile.

Crystal looked at him, still baffled. "What wish?" she asked, her mind racing to remember.

"You wanted me to listen to you talk," he reminded her, a playful glint in his eyes. "Tonight, I’ll listen. No interruptions."

Crystal frowned, still not entirely sure where this was going. "I’m not in the mood for talking," she muttered and tried to pull herself up, but he caught her wrist, holding her gently but firmly.

"I don’t want to talk. I’m angry with you," she said bluntly, her frustration growing. She felt another shiver run through her body.

Dimitri, noticing her discomfort, let go of her wrist. He quickly grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around her, speaking softly as he did, "Then let’s talk about your anger. Why are you angry?"

She glared at him, knowing he was deliberately teasing her. "As if you don’t know," she shot back.

He shrugged, feigning innocence. "No, really, I don’t. Enlighten me."

Her eyes narrowed. "How could my brother just leave without taking me? And you... how could you stay so calm? And why are you doing this , All because of something I said when I was drunk?"

Dimitri’s smirk faded, replaced with a more serious expression. "I already told you. I fell in love with you."

"As if I’d believe that," Crystal retorted, her voice rising in disbelief.

"Why not? People fall in love like this all the time," he said, his tone almost casual, but there was an intensity behind his words.

"I don’t believe it," she snapped.

Dimitri raised an eyebrow. "But you read stories like this. Your comments say you believe."

Crystal’s mouth dropped open. "Wait... how deep have you searched my Wattpad?"

He grinned mischievously. "Deep enough."

" I want my phone back!"she said

"I already gave you one," he teased, enjoying the banter.

"I want mine, or you’ll keep snooping around my Wattpad."She said

"So what if I do? Your stories are interesting." He leaned in closer, a playful glint in his eyes.

" if you that interested download your wattpad and read there  " she suggested .

"I’m more into your stories."He said

She shot him a suspicious look. "What have you been reading?"

"I came across a dark romance in your list. It's—"

"Don’t you dare read that!" she interrupted, her face flushing.

Dimitri leaned back, a mischievous smirk tugging at his lips. "I’ve already read the first chapter."

Crystal’s heart raced. "You’re not all innocent, are you?" He teased her .

She attempted  to leave . He hold her wrist and stopped her .

He shrugged, still grinning. "Sit, doll. I’m joking. I haven’t read anything, but I saw the titles. There are a lot of dark stories there, aren’t there?"

She glared at him, her pulse quickening. "Don't you dare check my list "

"Dare, doll?" he chuckled, his voice low and teasing. "And if I do?"

"I won’t talk to you," she threatened, turning her face away.

He smiled at her stubbornness, but the playful tone in the air began to shift. "Doll..." He reached out, trying to touch her cheek, but she pulled away, clearly annoyed.

"Are you serious?" Dimitri asked, his voice deepening, frustration seeping into his words.

"One hundred percent," she responded coldly.

A sudden shift in his mood darkened the atmosphere. Desperation flickered in his eyes as he stared at her, his teasing demeanor evaporating. Without warning, he grabbed her arms, pulling her closer. His grip was firm, bordering on painful, and the intensity of his gaze made Crystal’s heart pound with fear.

"Do you have any idea how I spent those three days you didn’t talk to me?" he shouted, his voice raw with emotion. "I waited and waited,Do you know how angry I was? How badly I wanted to punish you for that?"

Crystal’s eyes widened in shock. This was the first time she had seen him lose control like this. "Release me!" she pleaded, her voice trembling, but Dimitri only tightened his hold on her, his face twisted with frustration.

"Don’t get on my nerves, doll," he growled. "You’re the only one I stay calm with, but you Making  it so hard."

"I don’t want this! Let me go!" Crystal cried, panic rising in her chest as she struggled against him.

"You will never go. Get that in your head," he hissed through clenched teeth, his grip unrelenting.

Tears pricked her eyes as his words sank in. She could see it now—the madness in his eyes, the obsession that ran far deeper than she had ever realized. He wasn’t just possessive; he was dangerous. In that moment, she understood the true extent of his feelings for her. He wasn’t just in love—he was consumed by her, and the thought terrified her.

A tear slipped down her cheek, and for a brief moment, she saw the flicker of regret in his eyes. He released her suddenly, stepping back, his breathing ragged. Crystal stood frozen, her heart pounding in her chest.

The silence between them was thick with tension, the weight of his words hanging in the air. She wiped her tears, unsure of what to say, unsure of who this man truly was. All she knew was that he was far more dangerous than she had ever imagined.
