Dimitri’s eyes narrowed as he watched the CCTV footage, his anger boiling over. Every second of the scene fed his rage. Before he could react, his phone rang, and he answered it, barely holding back his fury.

“You didn’t do right,” the voice on the other end said, laced with accusation. “Cheating on my daughter like that.”

“This should be between us,” Dimitri growled. “You had no right to involve her.”

“Oh, I did exactly what was necessary. I thought you’d kidnap her to settle the score. But instead, you declared her your girlfriend? How dare you! How could you forget you already have a fiancée?” the man shouted furiously.

“She’s not my fiancée anymore. That ended years ago,” Dimitri replied coldly.

“But she still thinks of you that way! Haven’t you seen her condition? How could you betray her like this?” the man pressed, his tone thick with bitterness.

“That’s exactly why I’ve stayed. I’m trying to keep this under control—don’t push me to do something I’ll regret,” Dimitri warned, his voice a dangerous calm. “I’m coming. You’d better have Crystal ready to return.”

The man let out a dark laugh. “Come and get her dead body, then. You may have forgotten revenge, but I haven’t. I’ll take it in my own way.” And with that, he hung up before Dimitri could respond.

Dimitri’s rage snapped, and he hurled his phone to the floor, watching it shatter. He took a deep breath, calming his mind, and whispered fiercely, “Nothing will happen to you, doll. No one will touch you as long as I’m here.”

With steely determination, he strode out, ready to do whatever it took to bring her back safely.
