Purple Primordial Ultima had been alive since the dawn of creation. She had committed many acts of evil in her prolonged life, most of them were committed just because she was a sadist who took pleasure in the suffering of others.
When Rimuru took her in, she made sure to hide that cruel side from him. She thought she could get away with it just like how Blanc got away with the Lakeshore Dyed Scarlet Incident, but she was backstabbed by her old friends.
'Why did they have to tell Lord Rimuru about it? Unfair, so unfair. I will make sure that they pay for this later.'
Ultima rode on the back of Ranga. She was glad that he agreed to help her with the traveling process. Even if she could fly, Ultima didn't think she could compare to Ranga who rushed through the thick forest with the speed of wind.
"Thank you for accompanying me, Ranga-san."
"You can always count on me!"
Damrada also joined them as well. He could just head straight to Tempest since Ultima already told Rimuru about his contribution, but he chose to come with her instead.
"Can I ask you something, merchant?"
"You can, my lady. I will answer as long as it doesn't involve my trade secret."
"Why are you following me here in the first place?"
The merchant had an unfading smile on his face. He stroked his goatee, his eyes fluttering closed as if he was finding in his heart the reason he came with her. It was more difficult than he thought. Meeting Demon Lord Rimuru as soon as possible was the most logical, but he still followed his instinct and accompanied her.
"Nothing more than the fact that I find you intriguing. It's not often that I get to be in the presence of a Primordial, so I want to bathe in it as much as possible."
"Is that so? Flattery can take you far, so keep those praises coming!"
Hours later, they arrived at the Kingdom of Raja. Raja was relatively small compared to a nation like Tempest or Falmuth, it was built with three of its sides protected by nature itself. Raja was like a beautiful fruit with toxins hidden beneath, quite literally even.
Raja didn't have any local specialty to sell, and their food production wasn't that high either. They fed their citizens using the money they made from exporting gold, but it looked like the gold mine had been depleted as of late.
"Such a breath-taking scene, don't you think?"
"I've been here before, merchant. I don't need you to remind me of that."
Ultima jumped off Ranga's back. It had been a while since she visited this place, the waterfalls were as beautiful as ever. The last time she was here was to give the tiara to the praying queen, after that she tasked her subordinates to be observers.
"So, we will—"
Ultima's words were cut short when a wyvern soared from the cliff and landed in front of them. It wasn't a wild beast, but a domesticated one.
Sitting on its back was a muscular man with brown eyes, crimson red hair tied in a ponytail and a set of dual color horns in which one of them was broken.
'I rushed here after sensing a power akin to that of a Calamity-class monster, but it turns out to be just humans and their magic beast.'
He mistook Ultima for a mere human. Couldn't blame him though, Ultima could perfectly suppress her aura to the point that differentiating her from a regular human was impossible.
And the monster he sensed was Ranga. He had grown stronger to the point that his unsuppressed aura could be mistaken for a high-ranked monster like an archdragon.
