Deep in the dense forest, sounds of beatdown echoed as Rael hit Guy again and again. Guy did not really mind it since there would be no lasting effect on him. After all, he had the potent 'Infinite Regeneration'. As long as he still had magicules left, he would heal from any wounds.
'How long is this going to last? I cannot waste hours on this.'
Guy had a lot to concern for, but he had to prioritized Rael. At the moment, Rael was too unstable to be left alone.
From his previous encounter with Rael, Guy had learned that Rael was powerful due to the special energy he could produce (Nihility). If that kind of power was to be let loose in the world, it would have been catastrophic.
Slowly but surely, Rael mellowed down. His punches became less intense, but they were still being thrown nonetheless. That was not the only thing being thrown though—profanity, in which he had learned from Carrera, was being thrown too.
He had always been an ill-tempered kid, courtesy of being young and reckless, but none was on this degree. Rimuru was his linchpin, so losing the connection that kept him sane made him act out in such a way.
Because Guy was closely presented, he was the first to get striked, but Rael was ready to lash out at anyone; it did not matter at all if they were his friends or foes.
If the Ultimate Skill 'Beelzebuth' was to go berserk, the end of the world was assured. And as Rael was the evolved Beelzebuth, he was proven to be a world-ending threat, standing as an equal to the True Dragon race.
As the Mediator, Guy could not let that happen. But stopping a tempered child wasn't something that he had experience in. Trying to talk him out of being rageful wouldn't work. Guy had been using many fear tactics to control the Human race for centuries, so he knew well how that sort of thing operated.
Rael wouldn't stop until he got what he wanted, and what he wanted was...
"Die! Die, you Daemon scum! How dare you sully the bond between me and the Lord! I will kill you!" Rael yelled.
His personalized speech pattern broke. Usually Rael would address himself in majestic plural, but he wasn't able to keep it up anymore. He was blinded by rage, rage which was fueled by fear of being abandoned, being seperated or taken away from his master.
Clearly, Rimuru's sudden disappearance did a number on him, but Guy didn't know that. Without knowing the problem's root, one could not simply find a proper solution.
Guy's intention to just let Rael beat him up until he calmed down was ill-advised. A clear end to a Manas's rage did not exist. Rael's true essence was absorption. As he punched Guy, he sneakily stole a little of Guy's magicules with each strike and slowly got stronger.
If this continued, he would become too dangerous for anyone to handle. This must stop here before it snowballed into a larger problem. But alas, nobody was aware of the threat that was looming—or so it seemed.
«You need to stop him.»
'Eh? Am I going crazy, or is there really a voice in my head?'
Raine, who was standing and observing as Guy had ordered her to, heard a strange voice in her head. It felt like a contact using 'Thought Communication', but that too was bizarre.
It was possible to link up with those you didn't share any soul connection with, but doing that wouldn't be as safe as using the soul corridor itself. Since the speaker contacted her from afar, it must mean that they had established a means of communication before—but since when?
«You are not hallucinating. I am a lot of things. But for now, you can refer to me as Rimuru-sama's proxy.»
'Wait, wait, wait! His proxy?! Isn't that a big deal?! Why does someone of your importance call me and not Guy-sama?!'
