Even though he had put himself in this sweet position where love could easily bloom, Lucia hadn't taken action yet. If Rimuru didn't know her from the past, he might have mistaken it for self-control.

That couldn't be the case, right? Rimuru's personal experience taught him that Lucia was a liberated soul, so thinking of her as a more disciplined woman was almost impossible.

"Lucia-san, are you not going to do something with me? I'm waiting. I have been waiting for this since I was reincarnated, and you should feel the same, too, right?" Rimuru said meekly.

Rimuru's cheeks were beet red, his eyes were averting away from hers, and his hand, the unpinned one, was twirling the tip of his long blue hair. There was a strange atmosphere around him which Manas Lucia couldn't explain.

"Perhaps you are mad because I offered myself too easily?" Despite the weight of that question, Rimuru acted as if it was normal. "Or is it because I don't have the collar on me?"

Bewildered, Lucia replied with a confused "Huh?"

What he said made zero sense to Manas Lucia. Even though she derived from the all-knowing Raphael, she still found this situation to be complicated.

I can't read his intention. Even worse, I don't understand what he was talking about. Collar?

Rimuru, after reminiscing about the past, remembered questionable yet intimate aspects of their relationship.

She used to say something along the lines of, 'I like it when you resist.'

Maybe that was why she hadn't made any move yet. Rimuru had acted too submissive while Lucia derived joy from watching him put up resistance.

Don't judge!

A collar, which Rimuru retrieved from the Heavenly Star Palace, was not different. It was a symbol of their trust. Veldanava used to wear it a lot because Lucia demanded him to.

Not seeing anything wrong with that piece of accessory, Veldanava had worn it on a regular basis. Those from the ancient time recollected vividly the form of Veldanava. His body was thin, his face was beautiful, and his horns were marks of his divinity in itself.

Back then, he often wore either the Mythical-grade black armor, which would later be given to Milim, or the fancy gown tailored by Lucia herself.

Most people couldn't fathom the duality of that man, but no one wanted to be the brave soul who told him about that. But no matter what he wore, he'd always have that collar on him.

Because he always wore it, the collar had reached Mythical-grade on its own. Therefore, when Rimuru gave it to Luminous, it was used to easily subdue Veldora. You might as well call it a miniature Gleipnir.

Although Lucia loved that collar a lot, she was also the one who made a decision to retire it. She told him that it would be indecent to wear it around Milim. That was how it ended up in the Heavenly Star Palace in the first place.

"Say, do you want me to bring it out?" Rimuru, who was shorter, looked up to Lucia with a smile.

I'm so confused right now.

And when in doubt, you should rely on your friend. Lucia activated her Thought Communication. Attuning the Common skill's frequency, Lucia made contact with Ciel.

[Ciel-san, can you hear me?]

«Hello, Raphy-san. I am in the middle of something right now. Is this call important?»
