The 'Lord of Darkness' and the 'Phantom Lord' were two sides of the same coin. Both were the first and the strongest of their species, and that was to be expected since they had the same origin.

Seraphim, meaning the burning ones, naturally emitted a divine light, and Guy was born from the shadow casted by the light of Feldway. Their existences were tied, and so was their titles as the strongest in the world.

"You have been looking forward to this, don't you?"

"As always, you misjudged your importance."

They were standing in the hall of the Heaven's Tower. As one of the holy relics created by Veldanava, this place stood tall as the most crucial structure in the world.

The Otherworld which harbored twisted spawns, the Heaven where the Angels called home, and the palace the Creator God used to dwell could be entered using this tower.

However, to gain access to the tower, one would need the right key, and that key was the Star Key, in which only two of them existed.

Due to its importance, the tower was sturdy enough to endure a clash of powers beyond this world. Even if the 'Wicked God' Fenn was to be freed and went on a rampage, the Heaven's Tower would persevere.

Because of that durability, it had been chosen to be a place where they, Guy and Feldway, clashed.

In Feldway's hand was Ark, the sword given to him by Veldanava, and Guy held his own sword, World, firmly.

Such a match-up was worthy to be called a 'Theomachy'. Guy couldn't say it with confidence that he was looking forward to this, but he was at least excited. Guy was an enthusiast when it came to fighting. In his mind, Feldway was the strongest man alive after Rimuru, so this would be fun nonetheless.

The fight they would have was ritualistic in nature. It was held every time the Grieving Banquet came around.

According to Feldway, the fight between them, the strongest people in the world, would please Veldanava.

A ritual to appease God, whom Feldway believed was watching, was this fight's main idea.

Usually, I won't bother using my full power. However, Rimuru, the most authentic incarnation of my friend, is here as well, so I should put on a show worthy of praise, Guy thought.

He let out a captivating smirk before launching himself at Feldway. His speed was godlike, suiting the man who once challenged the Creator God.

Feldway blocked the attack with his own equally impressive speed.

Followed suit was an exchange of pure mastery over their blades.

In a fight where both fighters were even, the 'rank' of their weapons would be the source of advantages and disadvantages.

World and Ark belonged to the Mythical-grade, so they should be roughly at the same strength.

"Tch!" Guy clicked his tongue as he made some distance between them. He was at a disadvantage. Feldway's Ark had outperformed World. It was as if seeing a Legend-grade clashed with a God-grade sword, the difference in their performance was night and day.

"What's the matter, Guy? Are you afraid of me or something?"

"It seems like you have been holding back, too, huh?"

"Yes, I've always balanced my power to be the same as you. But since you decided to go all out this time, I will do the same!" Feldway shouted.

Guy didn't notice, but Feldway's sword had surpassed God-grade by a wide margin.
