Hinata shifted uncomfortably in her seat as she had to witness Luminous and Diablo's interactions. They used to be close acquaintances, but Hinata didn't expect them to be this close. What Louis informed her before wasn't enough to prepare her for this.

The atmosphere in the carriage was that of an unnerving silence with only the sound of the rolling wheels accompanying them. Luminous would giggle occasionally as she got touchy with Diablo who didn't look bothered by it at all.

"Luminous-sama, isn't that a bit inappropriate?"

"What are you talking about?"

She was one shameless woman, fitting every definition of a Demon Lord. Hinata sighed upon hearing the answer; even so, her faith in the Goddess was still intact. Luminous as a person might be a wildcard, but it was her desire to protect humanity that made her admirable.

Luminous' thought on humanity was not the best. Their blood could feed her Vampires and their faith in God Ruminas fueled her power, so she saw them as valuable cattles. Her reason might not be the most noble, but at least it resulted in humanity's survival.

"Ahem, how about we find a topic to talk about? Maybe about that father of yours."

"Come to think of it, I've never told you about him before. To be honest, I didn't expect his return, but I'm not complaining though."

The fact that Luminous had a father wasn't a secret; in fact, Louis, Roy, Gunther and some of the Surmounters were aware of it. Hinata seemed to be the only one in Luminous' inner circle to not know about it.

It wasn't her fault; Veldanava's departure was 2,000 years ago, and Luminous had no reason to bring that topic up in normal conversation. Imagine Hinata's surprise when she heard that Luminous, despite her fatherless behaviors, had a father.

"If I recall correctly, there's a mention of such a figure in the sacred texts, too. I always thought that was made up information."

"Your audacity is endearing."

The sacred texts referred to the books of faith; Luminism's holy scriptures, so to speak.

Mentioning in the texts was the figure of many names. He was called in those writings: The Demiurge, The Omnipotence Will, The Founder God and many more.

All of them were pseudonyms alluding to just one person, and that was Luminous' father and creator.

"My father is one of the True Dragons, Star King Dragon Veldanava."

"The Star King Dragon...? I've never heard of that before. Isn't there supposed to be only three True Dragons in existence?"

There might be a lot of information left unknown about True Dragons, but one thing was for certain, the number of existing True Dragons could never be increased or decreased. They were not mere beasts, but the wills of nature itself.

So it came as a surprise for Hinata when she knew that there was the fourth. She and the general public had been accepting the fact that there were only three of them.

"Time is a ruthless concept, isn't it? Even God's name can be buried under its countless grains of sand," Diablo added. "I'm sure that people from ancient times still remember him dearly, but humans have been forgetting him altogether."

Unlike Dwarves who made the inside of the Great Canatt Mountains their home and Elves who sheltered under the Sacred Tree, Humans had nothing to protect them from the threats.

So when Veldanava's subordinates and acquaintances seeked revenge, Humans were almost wiped out. Many kingdoms and empires fell, going down with them were recorded knowledge of ancient times. In Diablo's words, it was like the burning of the Library of Alexandria.
