The Eastern Empire was said to be ancient, its foundations were laid out as far back as in the Age of God. The Kingdom of Nasca absorbed the Magic Nation of Namrium and the Eastern Union of Ulmeria, thus giving birth to the superpower that was the 'Nasca Namrium Ulmeria United Eastern Empire'.

The Empire was founded by the king-emperor Rudra Nam Ul Nasca, famously known as the 'Hero Chose by Star'. Though he was celebrated widely in the Empire's lands, the current emperor loathed his predecessor.

The First Lord was a man of immense strength, yet failed to protect the person most precious to him.

Rudra's soul left this body a long time ago, not by banishment, but of his own accord. This soulless body then became a vessel for 'Michael' to puppet around.

A manas born from grief and self-loathing, that was what 'Justice King Michael' was. To this day, Michael still couldn't comprehend Rudra's action. Did he run away out of shame? Did he knowingly enter the Samsara system to find any clue of the Star King Dragon?

Whatever the reason was, the result of his action remained the same, that was Michael's rise to power. He took control of the Empire at large and turned Velgrynd into his pawn.

The West thought that the Empire seeked to expand their horizon and spread their political influence.

Michael couldn't care less about the western countries, but he would let that misunderstanding continue. The less they knew about his grand plan, the better. Soon enough, the world will understand his sorrow.

"Rudra, there are rats in our castle."

"Hmm." Michael wasn't surprised. Tonight was the night of Walpurgis, a banquet that brought nothing but troubles. "What species of rats?"

"I can sense a daemon but I don't know about the other one," Velgrynd said.

Tonight, the Imperial Capital Nasca was arguably at its weakest. Most of its troops and Imperial Guardians were deployed across the Empire's vast territory to make sure that no one would take advantage of the event such as Walpurgis and caused problems.

Only Velgrynd, who was a Marshal, and a few high-ranked officers were left in the palace. But that was fine. Velgrynd was the all-powerful true dragon. And it wasn't like Michael needed someone to protect him in the first place. He himself was the unbreakable shield.

"I see. They are making their way here, aren't they? Why don't we give them a warm welcome?"

Rael and Carrera were walking in the palace's hallway. This palace somehow felt barren and eerie. Honestly, they expected a place of this importance to be guarded by countless soldiers.

"This palace is a bit boring, isn't it? What do you think, Kiiro?" Rael talked to Carrera as they continued to go further down the hallway.

"Was that supposed to be my name?"

"Yeah, calling you 'Yellow' sounds a bit rude and bare, so Kiiro it is."

"Why not 'Carrera'? You know? the name you gave me."

"We didn't give you that name, Lord did. And quite frankly, it feels disrespectful for a lowly Us to call you by the name Lord gave you."

Just like Ciel, Rael was fiercely loyal to Rimuru, and that extended to whoever associated with him as well.

He respected Rimuru's subordinates to some degree, and didn't want to call them by their names. Names were important, especially names given by Rimuru himself.

Rael often found a way to address others. He called Rimuru a Lord and Ciel a Wisdom King, that was what they were to him.

For Carrera and other primordials, Rael called them by their color. Like Kuro, Shiro and Kiiro for example.
