The crowd roared as Stray Kids finished their performance, the members basking in the rush of energy on stage. Felix loved performing, loved the thrill of seeing fans cheer and hearing the applause. But the award show environment was intense in a way that was starting to wear on him. As they left the stage, the cheering continued, the bright lights and loud music blaring around them without a pause.

At first, Felix tried to focus on the positive energy. The excitement in the air was palpable, and he knew it was an honor to be there. But as each award was announced, each applause and every flash from the cameras hit him harder than the last. His heart started to race, and a tense feeling built in his chest. It was like everything around him — the lights, sounds, movement — was pushing against him, overwhelming him.

Sitting beside him, Seungmin noticed the subtle shift in Felix's expression. Felix, who was usually so warm and upbeat, had grown quiet. His smile was strained, and his eyes seemed to drift, unfocused, like he was trying to hold himself together in the middle of a storm only he could feel.

"Felix," Seungmin whispered, leaning close to him. "Are you okay?"

Felix forced a small nod, but he couldn't hide the discomfort in his eyes. "Yeah... it's just a lot," he murmured, his voice nearly drowned out by the loud music echoing around them.

Seungmin didn't press further, but he kept a careful eye on Felix, silently understanding. He knew Felix had a unique sensitivity to his environment, a tendency to feel things more intensely than others. Some people called it being a Highly Sensitive Person — for Felix, it meant that certain sounds, lights, or emotions could sometimes overwhelm him.

As the award show went on, Felix felt the tension building with each announcement. The applause felt sharper, each clap sounding like it was amplified a hundred times. The lights, which flashed brilliantly to highlight each winner, made his eyes ache, the brightness too harsh even when he looked away. He wanted to pull his collar away from his neck, to somehow make himself smaller, shielded from everything pressing in on him.

He shifted uncomfortably, feeling like he was on edge, like every nerve in his body was stretched taut. The joy and energy that had filled him at the start of the evening had faded, replaced with a need to escape, to find somewhere quiet where he could breathe.

Noticing Felix fidgeting, Seungmin leaned close again. "Do you want to step out for a bit?" he asked gently.

Felix hesitated, not wanting to make a scene or draw attention to himself. But he felt Seungmin's hand give his arm a reassuring squeeze, an invitation he couldn't ignore. Finally, he nodded, grateful for Seungmin's understanding.

They stood up quietly and made their way toward the back of the venue, slipping out into the quieter hallway. The sound of the event faded slightly behind them, the lights dimmer and softer. Felix took a deep breath, already feeling some of the tension in his body release.

"Thank you," he said softly, a bit embarrassed but genuinely grateful. "I... I didn't mean to make you leave with me."

"Don't worry about it," Seungmin replied easily. "You looked uncomfortable, and you shouldn't have to sit through all that if it's too much."

They found a quieter, secluded area, away from the main event space. Felix leaned against the wall, closing his eyes as he tried to settle his nerves. It was still surreal to him how overwhelming everything had felt, how quickly the noise and lights had taken a toll on him.

"It just... got so loud and bright in there," he admitted after a pause, running a hand through his hair. "It's like... every sound, every light was turned up way too high, and I couldn't turn it down."

Seungmin nodded, understanding completely. "Sometimes it's like that, especially in these kinds of settings. But it's okay to step out when you need to."

Felix looked at him, feeling a sense of relief at Seungmin's acceptance. "I guess I feel bad... like, everyone else seems fine, and here I am, getting overwhelmed. It's supposed to be fun, but..." he trailed off, feeling a bit guilty for struggling.

Seungmin shook his head. "Hey, it's okay to be sensitive to this stuff. You feel things strongly, and that's part of who you are. There's nothing wrong with that. We all have our own ways of handling things."

Felix let out a small sigh, smiling softly. "Thanks, Seungmin. I just... I feel like sometimes I can't keep up. I want to enjoy everything as much as everyone else, but sometimes it's just... too much."

Seungmin nodded thoughtfully. "I get it. But you don't have to force yourself to feel okay if it's too much. We'll always understand. And if you ever need a quiet moment, I'm here to find one with you."

Felix smiled, feeling the comfort of Seungmin's words settling around him like a protective blanket. He realized then how lucky he was to have friends who accepted him as he was, without judgment or expectation. In the past, he'd tried to push through these overwhelming moments alone, not wanting to burden anyone else with his sensitivity. But being here with Seungmin made him realize he didn't have to face it alone.

They stood in silence for a while, Seungmin patiently keeping Felix company. The quiet hallway, dimly lit and free from the chaos of the event, felt like a small sanctuary. Felix felt his heartbeat slow, his body relaxing as the intensity of his sensory overload faded away.

After a few more minutes, Seungmin looked at him. "Think you're ready to go back in, or want to stay here a little longer?"

Felix took a deep breath, feeling much steadier. "Maybe a little longer," he said with a small grin. "It's kind of nice, just... being here with you. Away from all the noise."

Seungmin chuckled, nodding. "Take all the time you need."

And so, they stayed there, Seungmin providing a calm and steady presence by Felix's side. For Felix, it was a reminder that even in the overwhelming moments, he had friends who would stand by him, who understood his sensitivity and accepted it without question.
