The filming set buzzed with energy as NCT Dream worked on their latest show. Cameras captured the members' laughter and playful banter, and the crew moved swiftly between takes to ensure everything ran smoothly. Jisung, feeling a little overwhelmed by the bustling environment, quietly slipped away during a break.

He wandered into a nearby room, enjoying the silence. It was cool and dimly lit, a sharp contrast to the chaos outside. Jisung spent several minutes there, catching his breath and scrolling through his phone, oblivious to the invisible danger surrounding him. The room still contained lingering traces of a hazardous toxin from a recent fumigation.

When Jisung returned to the set, he felt an odd tightness in his throat. At first, it seemed harmless, like a tickle that would pass. He coughed softly, covering his mouth with his hand.

"Jisung, you good?" Renjun asked, noticing the younger member rubbing his throat.

"Yeah, just dry air," Jisung replied with a faint smile, brushing it off.

But as they resumed filming, the coughs grew deeper and more frequent. Jisung's chest began to ache, and he felt lightheaded. Each breath became harder to draw, like the air wasn't reaching his lungs properly.

When the coughing fit returned, he turned away, trying not to disturb the shoot. But then, he froze - bright red blood speckled his hand.

His eyes widened in terror. Blood? Why is there blood?

Jisung stumbled slightly, drawing the attention of the others.

"Jisung! What's wrong?" Jaemin's sharp voice cut through the room, halting the filming.

"I... I don't know," Jisung whispered, his voice rasping as another cough racked his body. This time, more blood spilled from his lips. His trembling hands hovered near his mouth, his gaze locked on the crimson stains.

"Blood? Oh my God...he's coughing blood!" Chenle shouted, his usually composed demeanor breaking.

"Jisung, sit down! Sit down!" Mark barked, rushing to his side and guiding him to a chair. His hands shook as he fumbled to hold Jisung steady.

"Hyung, it hurts," Jisung croaked, his voice barely audible. His breathing was rapid and shallow, and tears welled up in his eyes.

"Call an ambulance! Right now!" Haechan yelled at the staff, his tone frantic. "Why isn't anyone moving? He's coughing up blood, for God's sake!"

Renjun knelt beside Jisung, his face pale with worry. "Breathe slowly, Jisung. Try to calm down, okay?" he said, though his own voice trembled.

"I-I can't," Jisung whimpered, his chest heaving as if he were gasping for air underwater. Tears began streaming down his face, the fear overwhelming him.

Jaemin grabbed a bottle of water, twisting off the cap with shaking hands. "Drink this. It'll help, right? Please tell me this will help!" he said, his voice cracking as he looked to the staff for reassurance.

"It's going to be okay," Mark kept saying, though his own voice sounded anything but confident. His arm stayed around Jisung's shoulders, trying to keep him upright.

The crew scrambled as the emergency services were called. The members hovered around Jisung, each of them desperate to help but unsure what to do. Haechan paced back and forth, biting his nails, while Chenle kept muttering, "This can't be happening."

"Hyung, am I going to die?" Jisung asked weakly, his voice trembling with fear.
"No! Don't say that!" Jaemin snapped, his eyes red with unshed tears. "You're going to be fine. The ambulance is coming. Just hold on."

Within minutes, the paramedics arrived. They worked quickly, administering oxygen and monitoring Jisung's vitals. The sight of the mask covering Jisung's pale face sent a fresh wave of panic through the group.

"Is he going to be okay?" Mark asked, his voice cracking as he clutched at the paramedic's arm.

"We're stabilizing him now. He needs to get to the hospital immediately," the paramedic replied calmly, though the urgency in their actions was unmistakable.

The ride to the hospital was agonizing for the members, who trailed behind in a separate vehicle. None of them spoke, the air thick with tension. When they arrived, Jisung was whisked away into isolation, leaving the rest to wait helplessly in the lobby.

Haechan sat with his head in his hands, his legs bouncing uncontrollably. "Why did he even go in that room? How did we not notice something was wrong earlier?" he muttered.

"Stop blaming yourself!" Renjun snapped, though his voice cracked as tears spilled down his cheeks. "We... We couldn't have known."

Mark tried to keep everyone calm, but his hands were shaking as he scrolled through his phone, looking up symptoms and causes. "They'll figure it out," he said, more to himself than anyone else. "They have to."

When the doctor finally approached, the group jumped to their feet.

"Jisung is stable now," the doctor began. "He was exposed to a toxin, likely from inhaling it in a confined space. It caused irritation in his respiratory system, leading to the bleeding. He'll need to stay in isolation for a few hours while we monitor him closely."

"Toxin?" Jaemin repeated, his face pale. "How... How did that happen?"

"It could've been from the room he entered," the doctor explained. "The good news is that we caught it early, and he's responding well to treatment."

Hours later, the members were allowed to see Jisung, two at a time. Mark and Jaemin went in first, their hearts aching at the sight of their maknae hooked up to oxygen and IV drips.

"Hyung..." Jisung's voice was raspy but softer now. "I'm okay. You can stop crying," he joked weakly, noticing Jaemin's glistening eyes.

Mark chuckled, though his own voice shook. "You scared us so much, Jisungie."

Jaemin leaned forward, brushing Jisung's hair out of his face. "Don't ever do that again. Ever."

One by one, the other members visited, each of them expressing their relief in their own ways. Renjun fussed over his blankets, Haechan half-scolded, half-cried, and Chenle joked just enough to make Jisung laugh without coughing.

Though the experience left them shaken, their bond only grew stronger. Jisung's recovery became their top priority, and they vowed never to let him, or each other, out of their sight again.
