900 words.

The winter air was crisp, the sky a pale gray as the members of THE BOYZ ran around the snowy field. Laughter echoed through the clearing, their warm breaths puffing out in visible clouds. The outdoor filming for their variety show was supposed to be lighthearted, a mix of silly games and challenges.

"Chanhee, come here!" Sunwoo shouted, grinning as he chased after his friend with exaggerated determination.

"Not a chance!" Chanhee called back, his own laughter ringing out as he sprinted across the field.

Snow crunched beneath their feet as they weaved through their cheering members and past the filming crew. In his excitement, Chanhee didn't notice the patch of slick mud near the frozen pond's edge. His foot slid, and he let out a startled yelp as his body pitched forward.

"Chanhee!" Sunwoo's grin vanished in an instant as he saw his friend slip. The crack of ice followed almost immediately, and with a sickening splash, Chanhee disappeared into the freezing water.

"Chanhee!"

The members scrambled toward the pond, panic breaking out like wildfire.

Sangyeon's commanding voice cut through the chaos. "Don't just stand there... someone grab him!"

Juyeon was already moving, throwing off his coat as he sprinted toward the edge. Without hesitation, he dove into the icy water. The cold hit him like a wall, stealing the breath from his lungs, but he fought through it, his mind focused solely on finding Chanhee.

"Hyung, be careful!" Eric shouted from the shore, his face pale with fear.

Sangyeon grabbed Eric's arm, keeping him from getting too close to the fragile ice. "Stay back. Juyeon's got this."

But even Sangyeon's voice trembled slightly as he watched Juyeon disappear beneath the surface.

Chanhee was sinking, his body limp and unresponsive. Juyeon's fingers grazed the edge of his sleeve, and he pushed himself harder, ignoring the icy tendrils wrapping around his limbs. When he finally grabbed hold of Chanhee, a wave of relief surged through him, but it was short-lived.

The weight of his unconscious friend, combined with the frigid water, made every movement a struggle. Juyeon surfaced, gasping for air, and shouted hoarsely, "Help me!"

On the shore, Hyunjae and Jacob were already forming a human chain, their hands clasped tightly as they leaned out over the ice. "We've got you, Juyeon!" Hyunjae yelled.

Sangyeon, the last in the chain, reached out as Juyeon neared the edge. Together, they hauled Juyeon and Chanhee onto solid ground.

"Chanhee!" Sunwoo dropped to his knees beside his friend, his hands trembling as he hovered over Chanhee's pale face. "He's not waking up!"

"Move!" Juyeon barked, shoving himself to Chanhee's side despite his own shivering. His teeth chattered violently, but he forced himself to focus as he started CPR.

The others stood frozen, their breaths coming in short, panicked gasps. Kevin grabbed Sunwoo by the shoulders, pulling him back. "Give them space!"

"He's not breathing," Juyeon muttered under his breath, his own panic mounting. "Come on, Chanhee. Breathe!"

"Juyeon, stop!" Hyunjae cried, his voice breaking as he noticed Juyeon's blue-tinged lips. "You're freezing, too!"

"I'm fine!" Juyeon snapped, his shaking hands continuing compressions. "Just help me!"

Sangyeon crouched beside him, gently pulling Juyeon back. "Let me do it. You need to rest before you collapse, too."

Reluctantly, Juyeon nodded, collapsing onto the snow as Sangyeon took over CPR. Jacob draped his coat over Juyeon, his own hands trembling as he tried to keep their second victim warm.

After a tense, endless moment, Chanhee coughed weakly, water spilling from his lips. The members let out collective cries of relief.

The ambulance arrived minutes later, but to the members, it felt like an eternity. Chanhee remained unconscious, his body wrapped in every jacket and blanket they could find.

Juyeon, still shivering violently, refused to leave his side.

"Juyeon, you need to get checked, too," Sangyeon urged as they loaded Chanhee into the ambulance.

"I'm going with him," Juyeon said firmly, climbing in before anyone could argue.

In the back of the ambulance, Juyeon sat with his arms crossed, his soaked clothes sticking to his skin. He didn't care. His eyes never left Chanhee's face, silently willing his friend to wake up.

The others followed in their manager's van, the ride filled with heavy silence. Sunwoo sat in the back, his head buried in his hands.

"This is my fault," he whispered. "If I hadn't been chasing him..."

"It's not your fault," Kevin said, though his voice shook with emotion. "It was an accident, Sunwoo. You didn't push him."

At the hospital, the doctors worked quickly to stabilize Chanhee. They warmed his body slowly, monitoring his vitals closely. Juyeon, wrapped in warm blankets and sipping hot tea, was declared stable but exhausted.

When the members were finally allowed to see Chanhee, they crowded into the small hospital room. Chanhee was pale but awake, his lips curled into a faint smile.

"Hey," he murmured, his voice weak but steady.

The room erupted into relieved chatter. Sunwoo rushed to his bedside, tears streaming down his face. "Chanhee, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean..."

"Sunwoo," Chanhee interrupted gently. "It's okay. I know it wasn't your fault."

Juyeon sat quietly at the foot of the bed, his face still pale from the ordeal. "How are you feeling?" he asked softly.

Chanhee smiled at him, his eyes filled with gratitude. "Cold, but... I heard you jumped in for me. Thank you, Juyeon. I owe you."

"You don't owe me anything," Juyeon replied, his voice thick with emotion. "Just promise me you'll be more careful, okay?"

"I promise," Chanhee said with a small laugh, his cheeks warming slightly.

The room filled with laughter and warmth, the weight of the day beginning to lift as they realized the most important thing: they were all still together. And for THE BOYZ, that was all that mattered.
