Taehyun had always been the definition of precision. Whether it was his sharp vocals, perfect choreography, or thoughtful answers in interviews, he carried himself with confidence that radiated professionalism. To the public, he was flawless—a skilled performer and part of the powerhouse that was TXT.

But behind the dazzling stages and polished performances, Taehyun lived with a secret that few people outside his members knew: his vision was severely impaired.

It wasn't a sudden thing—it had been part of his life for years. He managed it in silence, working hard to compensate. In private, he relied on a white cane to avoid bumping into furniture or misjudging distances. But in public? The stakes were higher. The world's eyes were constantly on him, and so were the cameras. He couldn't let his secret slip.

Their day started like any other—a packed schedule with rehearsals, interviews, and a live performance later that night. The practice room was a safe space, so Taehyun allowed himself to use his cane as he moved carefully to the middle of the room. Beomgyu was stretching nearby, already keeping an eye on him.

"You good?" Beomgyu asked casually, though his voice carried a hint of concern.

"Yeah," Taehyun replied, folding his cane and setting it to the side. "I just need to get the counts right for the new section."

Taehyun stood in position, running through the steps in his head. He wasn't nervous about the choreography itself—once he practiced enough, muscle memory took over. But in the early stages, it was hard not to worry about missteps.

"Let's go over it slowly first," Soobin suggested. As the leader, he always made sure to create an environment where Taehyun could focus.

Kai stood beside Taehyun, ready to subtly guide him if needed. They moved through the routine, counting aloud together. On a sharp turn, Taehyun felt Kai lightly brush his arm—just enough to let him know he'd gone slightly off.

"Got it," Taehyun said quietly, adjusting.

By the end of practice, Taehyun had the sequence down. He'd memorized the spacing, the counts, and the markers in the music. It was all second nature now, and that brought him a sense of relief.

Later that day, they arrived at the venue for the live performance. Fans were already gathering outside, cheering and waving banners as the members stepped out of the van. Cameras flashed incessantly, and Taehyun instinctively straightened his posture, his expression calm and composed.

Instead of using his cane, he lightly rested his hand on Huening Kai's shoulder as they walked. To the fans, it looked like a casual, affectionate gesture. Only the members knew it was Taehyun's way of navigating the unfamiliar space.

As they approached a small set of stairs backstage, Kai slowed slightly, tilting his head toward Taehyun. "Step up, right here," he whispered softly, just loud enough for Taehyun to hear.

Taehyun shifted his weight and stepped up with ease, the movement seamless. To anyone watching, it would have looked natural, but Taehyun silently felt a wave of gratitude toward Kai for always having his back.

Once they were backstage, Taehyun let out a small breath of relief. The stage was familiar now after multiple rehearsals, and he could move confidently without assistance.

"Ready, Taehyun?" Soobin asked, adjusting his microphone.

"Always," Taehyun replied with a small smile.

The performance went off without a hitch. The choreography flowed seamlessly, each member moving as one. When Taehyun took his solo lines, his voice rang out clear and steady, drawing cheers from the crowd. He'd rehearsed the spacing so meticulously that even when he was slightly off, Beomgyu or Kai would discreetly adjust their position to make it seem intentional.

By the time the lights dimmed and the final notes faded, the audience was on their feet, roaring with applause. To them, TXT had once again delivered perfection.

Back at the dorm, the members gathered in the living room, their energy still buzzing from the performance. Taehyun leaned back on the couch, his folded cane resting beside him.

"You absolutely killed it," Kai said, flopping down beside him.

"You all make it easier," Taehyun admitted, glancing at each of them. "I don't know what I'd do without you."

"Probably walk into walls more often," Beomgyu teased, earning a laugh from everyone.

Soobin leaned forward, his tone more serious. "We've got your back, Taehyun. Always. You know that, right?"

Taehyun nodded, a soft smile playing on his lips. "I know. And I'm grateful every day."

The members didn't see it as a burden. To them, Taehyun's talent and hard work spoke louder than anything else. They were a team, and they would always make sure he had the space to shine.

As the night wore on, Taehyun felt a deep sense of comfort. In a world that demanded perfection, he wasn't alone. And though his secret remained hidden in the spotlight, with his members by his side, he knew he could face whatever challenges came his way.
