It had been a long day of schedules, but Stray Kids had one final interview before they could finally go back to their dorm and rest. They were seated around a table, chatting comfortably with the host while answering questions. In front of them was an assortment of snacks provided by the staff—pastries, fruit, and some homemade dishes prepared "especially for them."
Felix and Hyunjin, having skipped breakfast due to their packed schedule, dug in the most, laughing and sharing bites with the others. The rest of the members picked at the food, eating in moderation, but they all consumed at least a little.
The interview went smoothly, but it wasn't long before things took a turn.
It started with Felix. His smile faltered, and he pressed a hand to his stomach, shifting uncomfortably in his seat.
"You okay?" Chan whispered, noticing the way Felix's expression tensed.
Felix nodded but didn't look convinced. Before anyone else could ask, Hyunjin groaned softly, clutching his stomach.
"Ugh... I don't feel so good," he murmured, leaning onto the table.
That was all it took before the others started realizing something was off. Seungmin put his hand on his forehead, feeling warm, while Jeongin's face was unusually pale. Han was visibly sweating, and Changbin kept swallowing hard like he was trying to suppress nausea.
The interview ended just in time. The moment the cameras stopped rolling, Felix barely made it to the nearest trash can before throwing up. Hyunjin staggered toward the bathroom, Chan following close behind to support him.
"We need to get out of here," Minho said, gritting his teeth as a wave of nausea hit him.
The manager rushed in, noticing the distress. "What's happening?"
"Something's wrong," Seungmin muttered, holding onto the table for support. "I think... I think we got food poisoning."
It was chaos after that. The company rushed them back to their dorm, and the ride there was miserable—Felix curled up against Chan, Hyunjin barely staying conscious, and the rest shifting uncomfortably, groaning from the pain.
When they arrived, it was clear Felix and Hyunjin had it the worst. Felix had a fever, his whole body trembling, while Hyunjin kept dry heaving into a bucket.
Despite their own suffering, the members tried to help each other.
Chan, exhausted but refusing to rest, made sure everyone had water and cool towels for their foreheads. Minho, despite feeling sick himself, stayed by Hyunjin's side, rubbing soothing circles on his back.
"You're okay," Minho murmured as Hyunjin whimpered. "Just breathe."
Han, in between bouts of nausea, crawled over to Felix and held his hand. "If you die, I'm going with you," he joked weakly.
Felix let out a faint laugh, but it ended in a cough. "You're not getting rid of me that easily."
Seungmin and Jeongin, though both struggling with dizziness, took care of the mess—cleaning up after their sick members, changing sweat-soaked clothes, and making sure the younger ones were as comfortable as possible.
Changbin, despite his own queasiness, made a feeble attempt to cook rice porridge for them. It wasn't his best work, but no one cared.
Hours passed, and slowly, the worst of it eased. The members still felt awful, but at least they weren't alone. They had each other.
As the night settled in, Chan looked around the dorm—everyone tucked into their blankets, drained but safe. He sighed, exhaustion catching up to him.
"Next time," he muttered, "we're bringing our own food."
A weak chuckle echoed from Hyunjin's bed. "Agreed."
And with that, they drifted into sleep, knowing that no matter how sick or miserable they were, they'd always take care of each other.
