It started with a subtle cough.

At first, Seungmin tried to brush it off, blaming it on the late nights and the intense rehearsals. He didn't want to worry anyone. But the cough grew worse, a scratchy, persistent sound in his throat that made him pause between notes during practice. The other members noticed, of course.

"Seungmin, you okay?" Bang Chan asked, his brow furrowed with concern as he glanced over at the younger member, who was wiping his nose on the back of his hand.

"I'm fine," Seungmin replied, though his voice sounded a bit strained. "Just tired, I think."

But by the time they had finished practice, Seungmin's condition had deteriorated. His cheeks were flushed, his eyes heavy, and his movements slow. He winced slightly when he stood up, and his legs felt unsteady beneath him.

"You should get some rest, Minnie," Han said, his tone soft but with worry creeping in.

Seungmin opened his mouth to protest, but before he could get the words out, a sharp coughing fit seized him. The members flinched, and Felix immediately rushed over, placing a hand on Seungmin's back.

"Let's get you back to the dorm and into bed." he said, his voice full of concern. Seungmin was too exhausted to argue, so he let them guide him to the car to go home.

Once in his room, Seungmin collapsed onto his bed, shivering despite the blanket covering him. His head throbbed, and his stomach churned uncomfortably. It wasn't long before the nausea hit, and he barely managed to make it to the bathroom in time. His body violently rejected whatever was in his stomach, and Seungmin sank to his knees on the cold tile floor, his head spinning.

"Seungmin!" Changbin's voice echoed from the doorway, and soon the whole group had gathered around.

Bang Chan kneeled next to him, rubbing his back gently. "You're really sick, Seungmin. Why didn't you tell us sooner?"

"I didn't want to be a bother," Seungmin muttered weakly, his face pale.

"You're never a bother," Hyunjin chimed in, his voice surprisingly soft. "We take care of each other."

After a few moments, Seungmin was helped back to bed. His body felt weak, and he was too exhausted to keep his eyes open. His temperature was rising, and he was starting to feel the chill of a fever setting in.

"You need to drink some water," Lee Know said, gently bringing a glass to Seungmin's lips.

Seungmin reluctantly took a sip, the water feeling cold and soothing on his dry throat. But when he tried to sit up, his stomach rebelled again. He couldn't hold it in, and another wave of nausea hit him. This time, he barely made it back to the bathroom before collapsing to his knees, trembling with every violent movement.

His head buzzed as he tried to stay upright, but he couldn't. He felt his body give out, and everything around him went black.

When Seungmin woke up, he found himself in his bed again, the soft hum of the members' voices filling the air. He groggily blinked and looked around, his head pounding. He tried to sit up, but his body was too weak.

"Don't move too fast," Bang Chan said, his face appearing in front of Seungmin's eyes. "You fainted earlier, and we don't want you to hurt yourself."

The worry in his leader's voice was enough to make Seungmin's chest tighten. He swallowed hard, suddenly feeling embarrassed. "I'm sorry," he mumbled.

"Nothing to apologize for," Han reassured him. "You're sick. We're just glad you're okay now."

Felix and Hyunjin had been staying nearby, ready to offer whatever Seungmin might need. They kept offering water, medicine, and warm blankets, trying to keep him comfortable as his fever slowly rose and fell.

Over the next few hours, the members took turns watching over Seungmin. When he wasn't asleep, they were there, checking in, talking to him softly, and making sure he didn't feel too alone.

By the next morning, Seungmin was still feeling weak, but his fever had broken. His stomach was settled, and he no longer felt the urge to throw up. As he lay in bed, blinking at the sunlight streaming through the window, he felt the comforting weight of the care he was receiving from his members.

"How are you feeling now?" Bang Chan asked, entering with a tray of soup.

"A little better," Seungmin replied, his voice still hoarse but grateful. He hadn't realized how much he'd missed the simple comfort of being looked after until now.

"That's good," Lee Know said with a small smile. "You need to eat, though."

Seungmin took the bowl of soup gratefully, his hands still shaky as he held it. His members hovered nearby, watching over him like they always did. And for the first time in a while, Seungmin felt truly at peace despite the illness.

"You're not alone, Seungmin," Hyunjin said, his smile warm. "We'll always take care of you."

And for the rest of the day, that's exactly what they did. They stayed by Seungmin's side, making sure he was well taken care of, their worry melting into care and love that reminded him why he cherished his brothers.

Seungmin was no longer alone in his suffering. He had his family, and that made all the difference.
