900 words.

The end-of-year concert was meant to be a celebration—a culmination of Stray Kids' hard work and triumphs throughout the year. The stage was dazzling, the arena packed with thousands of fans waving their glowing lightsticks, their chants echoing like a heartbeat through the massive venue.

The group was on their last song, performing with their usual energy and precision. Every move was practiced to perfection, their voices blending seamlessly with the music. They had done this a hundred times before, but tonight felt special. It was the perfect way to close the year.

But perfection doesn't always last.

It happened so fast that most people didn't register it immediately. A sharp sound of snapping metal echoed through the arena, and suddenly one of the overhead lights came crashing down. The world seemed to freeze for a split second as the massive wire holding the light snapped loose, sparking and writhing like a live serpent.

The arena went dark, save for the crackling electricity radiating from the fallen wire. A gasp rippled through the crowd, fans clinging to each other in fear. Onstage, chaos erupted.

"Felix!" Hyunjin's shout pierced the silence, breaking through the shock. The wire had hit Felix on its way down, grazing his arm with a burst of electric energy. He stumbled backward, clutching his arm with a sharp cry of pain.

Chan was the first to react, rushing to Felix's side as the others quickly gathered around. "Are you okay? Felix, talk to me!" Chan's voice was panicked, his hands trembling as he inspected the younger member's arm.

"It burns," Felix groaned through gritted teeth, his face pale and drenched in sweat. The faint smell of singed fabric and skin hung in the air.

The staff moved quickly, evacuating the group and the fans while emergency services were called. The arena was cleared in record time, firefighters stepping in to handle the sparking wire and ensure no further damage occurred. But all of that was background noise to the members, whose entire focus was on Felix.

At the hospital, Felix's burn was treated immediately. The doctors assured the group it wasn't severe, but it was painful and would take some time to heal. Felix was exhausted, his usually bright demeanor dimmed by the ache in his arm and the shock of the accident.

The members stayed by his side through every step.

"Don't even think about trying to kick us out," Changbin said firmly as they settled into the small hospital room. He dragged one of the uncomfortable chairs close to Felix's bed and dropped into it with a determined look. "We're not going anywhere."

Felix managed a faint smile, his voice hoarse as he replied, "I wasn't planning to."

For two days, the members refused to leave the hospital. They took turns fetching snacks and water, but most of their time was spent in that cramped room, huddled around Felix's bed.

Han tried to keep the mood light, cracking jokes and telling stories to distract Felix from the pain. Hyunjin hovered nearby, fussing over Felix like a worried parent. Seungmin brought books and games to pass the time, though none of them were particularly interested in playing.

Chan was the most visibly shaken. He barely slept, sitting in the corner of the room with his head in his hands, guilt etched into every line of his face.

"It wasn't your fault," Felix said softly one night, noticing the way Chan was staring at the floor.

Chan looked up, his eyes red. "You got hurt on my watch. How is that not my fault?"

Felix reached out with his uninjured hand, resting it lightly on Chan's arm. "You can't control everything, hyung. And I'm okay. It hurts, yeah, but I'll heal. Don't beat yourself up over this."

Chan didn't look entirely convinced, but he nodded, squeezing Felix's hand in return.

By the time Felix was discharged, the members were a mix of relieved and completely drained. They hadn't slept properly in days, crashing in awkward positions on the hospital chairs or curled up on the floor.

"Finally," Han groaned as they left the hospital, squinting against the sunlight. "I don't think my back can handle another night in that chair."

"Speak for yourself," Changbin muttered, rubbing his neck. "I feel like I've aged ten years."

Felix chuckled softly, his smile brighter than it had been in days. "Thanks for staying, guys. It really means a lot."

"Where else would we be?" Hyunjin said, throwing an arm around Felix's shoulders. "We're family."

The words hung in the air, warm and comforting.

Back at the dorm, Felix settled onto the couch, his arm carefully bandaged. The others hovered for a moment, unsure of what to do now that they were home.

"I'm fine," Felix assured them, waving his good hand. "You can relax now."

"You say that," Seungmin said, sitting on the armrest of the couch, "but we're still not letting you do anything for at least a week."

Felix rolled his eyes but didn't argue. Secretly, he was grateful for their concern.

That night, as the dorm filled with the familiar sounds of laughter and teasing, Felix felt a deep sense of gratitude. The accident had been terrifying, but it was a reminder of how strong their bond was. No matter what, they would always have each other's backs.

And under the same light that had once cast shadows, Stray Kids found their way back to the warmth of family.
