900 words.

Beomgyu had spent an entire month composing a track for their upcoming album. Every spare second he had was poured into it, between packed schedules, rehearsals, and late-night studio sessions. And today was the day—the day he was supposed to share it with the members.

But when he opened his laptop, the track was gone.

Panic set in immediately. He searched every folder, every backup, every possible place it could be, but there was nothing. It had vanished. His hard work, his sleepless nights, all for nothing.

Then, a memory flashed in his mind.

Yeonjun.

Yesterday, Yeonjun had come into his studio, searching for his charger. Beomgyu hadn't paid much attention at the time, but now... Could Yeonjun have accidentally deleted it?

Anger boiled in his chest as he stormed into the practice room. The members were warming up, but Beomgyu's eyes locked onto Yeonjun, who was sitting on the floor, his head resting on his knees. He looked exhausted, but Beomgyu didn't care.

"You," Beomgyu snapped. "What did you do?"

Yeonjun lifted his head slowly, blinking as if it took effort. "Huh?"

"My track! It's gone!" Beomgyu's voice was shaking with frustration. "You were in my studio yesterday ! what did you touch?"

Yeonjun frowned, his face pale. "I didn't touch anything," he said, his voice hoarse.

"Don't lie to me!" Beomgyu's voice rose. "Do you know how much effort I put into that song? Do you even care? Or are you just too busy trying to stay in the spotlight?"

Yeonjun stared at him, stunned. "What?"

"You always have to be the center of attention, don't you?" Beomgyu's frustration turned cruel. "Is that why you did it? You're so desperate for fame that you—"

Yeonjun's body swayed.

Before Beomgyu could finish his sentence, Yeonjun collapsed.

The room filled with panicked shouts. The members rushed to him, but Beomgyu took a step back, his anger turning into cold shock.

What...?

For a split second, he thought Yeonjun was faking. That this was some dramatic response to get sympathy. But then he really looked at him.

Yeonjun's skin was ghostly pale, his breathing shallow. Sweat clung to his forehead, and his entire body trembled. His lips were dry and cracked, his chest rising and falling too quickly.

And then it hit Beomgyu like a punch to the gut—Yeonjun had been like this for days. The exhaustion, the lack of energy, the way he barely ate. Beomgyu had noticed all of it, but he had been too caught up in his own work to care.

"Oh my God," Beomgyu whispered, horror settling in his stomach.

Someone called the manager. The next thing Beomgyu knew, they were in a hospital waiting room, the air thick with silence. None of them spoke, too overwhelmed by the weight of what had just happened.

Then the doctor came out.

"He has pneumonia," the doctor said. "It's severe, but he's stable for now. From what we can tell, he's been sick for quite a while."

Beomgyu felt like the floor had disappeared beneath him.

Sick? For a while?

He turned to the manager, his voice barely above a whisper. "Did you know?"

The manager's jaw was clenched. "No. But he did." He motioned toward Yeonjun's hospital room. "And he didn't tell anyone."

A thick, suffocating silence fell over them.

Beomgyu clenched his fists.

He had yelled at Yeonjun. He had blamed him. He had called him a fame-seeker while he was standing there, barely holding himself together.

And now Yeonjun was lying in a hospital bed because none of them had paid attention. Because he hadn't paid attention.

Beomgyu didn't leave Yeonjun's side.

The others had apologized, all feeling guilty for not noticing sooner, but Beomgyu was the most devastated. He sat by Yeonjun's bed, gripping his hand tightly, whispering apologies over and over.

When Yeonjun's eyes finally fluttered open, Beomgyu was the first to notice. His breath hitched as tears spilled down his face. "Hyung..."

Yeonjun blinked groggily at him. "Beomgyu...?" His voice was barely a whisper.

"I'm sorry," Beomgyu choked out. "I said horrible things to you. I didn't know. I should have—" His voice broke. "I should have been a better brother to you."

Yeonjun gave him a weak smile. "It's okay."

"No, it's not," Beomgyu insisted, shaking his head. "I hurt you. I didn't even ask if you were okay. And all this time, you were suffering alone."

Tears welled up in Yeonjun's eyes too. "I didn't want to worry you guys."

"You should have," Soobin said from the other side of the bed, his own eyes red from crying. Taehyun and Hueningkai nodded in agreement. "We should've noticed."

"We're sorry, hyung," Hueningkai sniffled. "We love you."

Yeonjun looked at all of them, his heart full despite the pain. He let out a weak chuckle. "I love you guys too."

Beomgyu buried his face in Yeonjun's hand, his body shaking with quiet sobs. "Please don't scare us like that again," he whispered.

Yeonjun squeezed his hand as tightly as he could.

They had made mistakes, but in the end, they were family. And family always found their way back to each other.
