800 words.

Seungmin wasn't one to admit when he was sick. He was the type to push through exhaustion, brush off a fever, and act as though he wasn't on the verge of collapse. But today, no amount of willpower could fight the chills racking his body or the heavy weight pressing on his eyelids.

His usual sharp and playful voice was reduced to a hoarse whisper as he lay curled up in his bed, buried under a pile of blankets. His head ached, his throat was sore, and his limbs felt like they were made of lead. Still, he hadn't uttered a single complaint.

But his members knew. Of course, they knew.

It started with Chan, who had peeked into his room first thing in the morning and frowned at the sight of their usually lively Seungmin unmoving, tangled in his blankets like a burrito. Without hesitation, he pulled the door shut and whispered, "Let's take care of him today."

The rest of the members sprang into action.

Minho took charge of cooking, whipping up a warm bowl of juk (Korean rice porridge) that filled the dorm with a comforting aroma. He muttered about how Seungmin was just a stubborn puppy who needed proper food to heal. When the porridge was ready, he carefully spooned some into a bowl and carried it to Seungmin's bedside.

"Come on, eat up. It'll make you feel better," Minho coaxed, carefully blowing on a spoonful before bringing it to Seungmin's lips. The younger boy scrunched his nose in protest, but Minho simply gave him a look that left no room for argument.

"Fine," Seungmin murmured, letting Minho feed him small bites. The warm porridge soothed his aching throat, and despite himself, he felt a little better already.

Hyunjin and Felix were in charge of warmth. Felix sat beside Seungmin on the bed, humming softly while running a hand through his hair. "You're always taking care of us, Minnie. Let us do it for you this time, okay?" he whispered. Hyunjin draped extra blankets over him, adjusting them until Seungmin was snug and secure.

"You look miserable, Minnie. You should've told us," Hyunjin pouted, pressing a warm pack against his hands. "Do you need more pillows? Are you cold anywhere? Just tell me, okay?"

Seungmin, too exhausted to argue, just hummed in response, secretly grateful for the attention.

Jeongin brought Seungmin a warm compress and a thermometer. "Hyung, you have a fever," he huffed, clicking his tongue in disapproval. "You're not allowed to move from bed today. That's an order."

"Bossy," Seungmin croaked, but Jeongin only stuck his tongue out at him before fussing over his blankets again.

Changbin and Han, on the other hand, were all about distraction. They played lighthearted games near his bedside, telling exaggerated stories and cracking jokes just to hear the tiniest of chuckles escape Seungmin's lips.

"Remember that time Seungmin tripped over his own shoelaces during rehearsal?" Han cackled.

"Don't remind me," Seungmin groaned, but the slight smile on his face gave him away.

"Oh, we're reminding you. We're never letting you forget," Changbin teased, grinning.

At some point, Seungmin stirred, cracking his eyes open to see all his members crowded around him, each taking care of him in their own way. His heart swelled with warmth that had nothing to do with the fever.

"You guys are so dramatic," he rasped, but his lips twitched into a small, grateful smile.

Chan ruffled his hair fondly. "And you're an idiot for not telling us you were sick."

Seungmin closed his eyes again, comforted by their presence. He didn't have to ask for love or care-it was simply given, effortlessly, unconditionally. And in that moment, that was all that mattered.

As the night settled in, Felix and Jeongin refused to leave his side. Felix fluffed the pillows and adjusted the blankets while Jeongin set up a small humidifier, making sure the air wasn't too dry for Seungmin's sore throat.

"We're staying with you tonight," Jeongin declared, sliding into bed beside him. "Just in case you need something."

Felix climbed in on the other side, wrapping an arm around Seungmin gently. "Yeah, and because we like cuddling you, obviously."

Seungmin wanted to protest, but the warmth of their bodies and the comfort of having them close made it impossible. He let out a small sigh, the tension in his body melting away.

"Fine. But if I get better and you still want to stay, I'm charging rent," he mumbled sleepily.

Felix giggled. "Deal."

Jeongin just smiled, already half-asleep. "Sleep well, hyung. We're here."

As Seungmin drifted off, lulled by Felix's steady breathing and Jeongin's quiet snores, he realized that no fever or sickness could take away the comfort of being so deeply loved.

And that was enough.
