Ateez was in the midst of promoting their latest album, and the members were busy with packed schedules: rehearsals, interviews, and performances. Yeosang, usually cheerful and full of energy, began to feel an increasing pressure from the high expectations placed upon him. The hateful messages he received on social media affected him deeply, but he tried to ignore them, thinking it would help him focus on his work.
As the weeks went by, Yeosang began eating less and less. He thought this would help him feel better about himself and meet the demands of his image. The other members, wrapped up in their own schedules, didn't immediately notice the change. Yeosang was becoming increasingly quiet and withdrawn, yet he managed to maintain a smiling facade during rehearsals.
One day, while they were rehearsing for an important concert, Yeosang felt particularly weak. He had barely eaten in the past few days, and his concentration was plummeting. During a high-energy dance, he began to feel dizzy, but he pushed himself to keep up with the rhythm. Eventually, while executing a complicated move, he fainted on stage.
The other members were immediately alarmed. Jongho, who was dancing nearby, was the first to react. He rushed over to catch Yeosang before he fell to the ground. The other members quickly gathered around Yeosang, worry etched on their faces.
"Yeosang! Wake up!" San shouted, his heart racing.
After a few moments, Yeosang regained consciousness, surrounded by concerned faces. He tried to get up, but felt too weak to rise.
"What happened?" he murmured, confused.
"You fainted, and we're really worried about you!" Wooyoung said, anxiety clear on his face.
"You need to see a doctor," Seonghwa added, already calling for help.
Medical personnel arrived quickly and assessed Yeosang. They asked how much he had eaten recently, and it hit him just how much he had neglected his health. He felt trapped between his desire to please and his need to take care of himself. The members, too, realized at that moment the extent of the situation.
"Yeosang, why didn't you tell us anything?" Yunho asked, sadness in his voice. "We should have paid more attention."
"I thought I could handle it alone," Yeosang whispered, tears in his eyes. "I didn't want to worry you."
After being transported to the hospital for further examination, Yeosang found himself in a room surrounded by his members. They were all there, anxious but relieved to see him awake.
"We're here for you," Hongjoong said, his tone reassuring. "You don't have to face this alone."
The members decided to open up a discussion about what had just happened. Yeosang talked about his struggles and the pressure he felt from negative comments. Together, they realized how important it was to support each other in their personal battles.
That day, in the hospital room, Yeosang no longer felt alone. With Ateez by his side, he knew he had a team ready to support him through both the good and the bad moments. They committed to taking care of their collective health and creating an environment where everyone could be themselves without fear of judgment.
