The Dance of the Angle Rapter (Story 20 - Chapter 4)

A Few Hours Later: 

At the Grand Terronto Lesson Hall: 

With Elvira: 

“What do you mean you have no more space for anything!?” demanded Dexx, the Anglerfish growling angrily while also trying to contain his rage. 

“I’m sorry, but every lesson is completely filled and booked for the season. There’s nothing I can do for your daughter but hope you come back next season. Registrations have just closed an hour ago” said the Tulip denizen as she typed away at her computer. 

Venno frowned, the Velociraptor gently grabbing Dexx’s shoulder and opening her beak to say something, having seen the daggers in his eyes as he summoned his twin sickles. 

“I’ll FUCKING rip you apart like a fucking weed you overgrown-” began Dexx, the Anglerfish not even getting the chance to finish his sentence as Venno quickly smacked the back of his head, the Velociraptor glaring up at him as he finally turned to look at her. 

The Tulip denizen could only cower behind her computer, shaking as her eyes remained locked on the twin sickles the Anglerfish was gripping tightly in his grasp. 

“Dexx, not in a room full of other denizens” whispered Venno, the Velociraptor also pissed as she adjusted her hold on Dominik in her arms, the infant Aquatic Velociraptor having covered his ears the moment he sensed his father about to swear. 

“Mom, dad, does that mean I won’t be able to do any lessons this season?” asked Elvira, the young Velociraptor Angler trying to hold back the tears from falling out of her eyes, now disappointed that she was unable to try anything new. 

Venno smiled gently, the Velociraptor kneeling down and patting her daughter’s head reassuringly, causing Elvira to wipe away her tears so as to not appear weak in front of the other kids and their parents who were still milling around and purchasing whatever they needed for whichever lessons their kids were taking. 

“Oh, Elvira, it’s alright. We can always try coming back next season. It’s not the end of the world if you can’t do anything this time around. You just need to have a little patience” explained Venno, the Velociraptor hoping to make her daughter feel better about missing the sign ups. 

“Yeah, traffic was not that great. We should have just gotten out of the car and run across the rooftops instead” said Dexx, the Anglerfish unsummoning his twin sickles and crossing his arms. 

Venno frowned, the Velociraptor standing back up as Dominik hugged his arms around her neck.

“We could have, but it would have been a little dangerous with our kids with us. Not to mention, you don’t have your propulsion rocket boots, and I don’t have my thigh strapped rockets” explained Venno, the Velociraptor’s tail twitching slightly. 

Dexx hummed and nodded, his eyes closed as he rubbed his chin. 

“Yeah, you’ve got a point. We haven’t used our rockets in a while, too, so we’d probably be a little out of practice. It’s best we don’t put our kids in any danger just to get to places faster” said Dexx, the Anglerfish in full agreement with his wife. 

Elvira could only stand there and watch as her parents continued with their discussion, the young Velociraptor Angler sighing as she turned and watched all the other kids with their parents still in the large lobby of the lesson hall. 

Some kids were running around with equipment or clothes that had just been purchased for the lessons they were going to take, such as art supplies or sports equipment.
