Five Months Later; Around Midnight:

Elvira and Dominik’s Room:

With Elvira:

The young Velociraptor Angler was sound asleep when she was suddenly awoken by the sound of her brother crying, the infant Aquatic Velociraptor having hiccuped awake just a minute before.

Humming as she slowly sat up and rubbed her eyes, the young Velociraptor Angler blinked them open before shifting her gaze over to her brother’s bed.

Her twin lures slowly turned on, the little bulbs creating a soft glow that illuminates a small bubble around herself and her bed.

Clambering down from her bed and making her way over to where her brother’s is located on the other side of the room, Elvira managed to lower the one side of the crib to allow herself easy access to see if her brother was alright.

Dominik whimpered, his fussing ceasing for the moment when he saw his sister beside him, the infant Aquatic Velociraptor blinking his eyes in confusion.

“It’s alright, Dominik, did you have a nightmare?” asked Elvira softly, the young Velociraptor Angler smiling gently as she rested her chin on the crib’s mattress.

Dominik whimpered once more as he turned over onto his side and began stretching his arms out, his hands making grabbing motions as though wanting to be picked up.

Elvira smiled, the young Velociraptor Angler gently grabbing her brother and picking him up, the infant Aquatic Velociraptor immediately latching his arms around her neck as she began walking slowly around the room.

“Mom and dad are probably still asleep, but it’s alright. They’ve both had a long day at work, and they deserve the rest. Are you maybe hungry?” asked Elvira softly, the young Velociraptor Angler gently swaying them back and forth.

Dominik shook his head, the infant Aquatic Velociraptor still unable to speak yet, but was able to easily understand what others were saying thus simply shaking his head yes or no to answer any questions directed towards him.

Elvira hummed as she spun them around gently, not wanting to go too fast in fear she would get dizzy and they fall over.

“Do you need your diaper changed? You don’t seem to stink” asked Elvira, the young Velociraptor Angler having noted the lack of stink coming from her brother with their close proximity.

Dominik again shook his head, the infant Aquatic Velociraptor laying his head on his sister’s shoulder.

Elvira hummed once more, having run out of ideas as to why her brother would have woken up in the middle of the night if not needing anything.

“Did you wake up because you’re just not that tired?” asked Elvira, the young Velociraptor Angler having noted the lack of tiredness in her brother’s body language.

Dominik seemed a bit still at first, but he then nodded, the infant Aquatic Velociraptor tightening his hold on his sister as she stopped momentarily in her movements around the room.

“Ok…well, maybe we can burn off some of that steam so you would get tired again?” asked Elvira, the young Velociraptor Angler mostly talking to herself, but Dominik seemed to nod in agreement to her question anyway.

“Ok, what can we do that won’t wake up mom and dad? Something not too loud, but at the same time, something that could blow off some of that pent up steam…” muttered Elvira as she began thinking.

They couldn’t run around the apartment playing any games, that would surely wake up their parents, and she didn’t want to disturb them. The infant Aquatic Velociraptor had only just learned to walk, having been taught by Elvira much more quickly with her constantly showing him how it’s done.
