Underground in the tunnels, a man is sitting at a desk on a computer, with wires scattered and traveling from a server behind him.
The two guys from before come walking up to him.
Guy 1: Nolan.
Nolan: Grayson. I hope that you and Damon have come to me with a breakthrough.
Damon: We have. We found some.
Nolan immediately looks up at him from the computer, standing up.
Nolan: Bring me to it.
Grayson and Damon lead Nolan down the tunnel and up to the purple crystals.
Nolan steps past them and comes right up to the crystals, staring at them with a smile on his face.
Nolan: Good work, you two. Our employer is going to be really pleased with this.
He looks back at the two of them.
Nolan: Get the specialized tools. Extract these carefully. I'll go inform him of the news.
He pats Damon on the shoulder as he goes walking by, disappearing down the tunnel with a purposeful stride.
In his bedroom, Caleb is sitting on his bed staring at the Dark Warrior suit, when Elizabeth comes walking in.
Elizabeth: Figured you would've been putting it on.
Caleb: There's no point. Mark's doing with a scan of the area with a drone. The flood waters make it impossible for me to do anything right now.
Elizabeth: Yeah, that makes sense. Guess my mind was just wandering when it came to thinking about...
She glances over at the suit. He slowly nods as he slightly smiles.
Caleb: Let me hear it.
Elizabeth: I've... thought about how dangerous it is. Looking back at all of those stories of the Dark Warrior, now knowing that it was you... I can't help but think what this will turn into.
She sits down next to him as he looks over at her.
Elizabeth: I understand that what you do is important, and you save lives... but I don't want you to die because of this.
He lets out a deep sigh.
Caleb: I've thought about it, too. Everytime I go out there could be my last. But I do it so I can help other people have the feeling of their family coming back to them.
He looks at the Dark Warrior suit.
Caleb: I want people to see that as a beacon of hope. To have them know that there's somebody out there looking out for them.
Elizabeth: Just promise me one thing. You'll always come back to me.
He looks back at her.
Caleb: I promise.
That's when his phone buzzes on the end table, and he leans over to grab it, opening it to see a message from Mark with a couple of images attached.
Elizabeth: What is it?
Caleb: Mark found something with the drone.
He opens the image. A thermal and x-ray scan of the flooded area. Showing tunnels. He ponders the information as he hands the phone of to her.
Elizabeth: Tunnels... meaning people are down there?
She hands the phone back to him.
Caleb: Yeah... People have been digging down there. Given enough power from a machine, it could trigger enough seismic activity to cause an earthquake, and...
