Beca sat on the table waiting for Erin to come into the room. Chloe was helping her get the brace off when Erin walked in. "You are literally here every day," she said with a sarcastic eye roll.

Beca laughed. "This one here wanted me to come in because my knee is killing me."

"I heard. We should do an x Ray and go from there."

When the X-ray was done, Erin showed Beca the pictures and pointed to the left side. "You tore your ACL."

Beca shrugged it off. "Ok, so I rest it for a few weeks and I'm back to normal."

Erin set the pictures down next to her. "Actually, it doesn't heal on its own. You'll need surgery, and you'll have to stay off it for 3 weeks, and then you'll probably wear a brace for a year."

"Ugh, when can I have the surgery. I just wanna get it over with." Beca was sick of surgeries and all the stuff that went along with it.

"Tomorrow morning would be best."

"Ok."

"You're going to have to use crutches tonight and stay off of it completely."

"Ok."

"See you tomorrow."

"Bye Erin."

Chloe helped Beca off the table and into the car. Not that she needed it though.

Anna's party went ok. They held it at a banquet hall, and her parents came all the way from Maine. Anna was excited Beca and Chloe would get to meet them, and they seemed very nice.

After the party, Beca sat while Anna and Chloe and Jesse cleaned up. Even Harper helped a little bit. Beca felt kind of helpless, which she was, but there was nothing she could do about it. She went to bed the second she got home so she would be well rested for the next day.

"Mama, where are you going?" Harper asked her mom, who was laying on a hospital bed in a gown.

"I'm having knee surgery, sweetie. But I'll see you in 3 hours." Beca say the little girl on the bed next to her. "Like a few weeks ago when you had surgery."

"Will you be ok mama?" Harper wrapped her arms around her mom.

"I'll be ok, my Harper. You gotta go sit with daddy though.

Jesse walked in the room. "Good luck, Becs. I'm sure you'll do great."

"Thanks, Jess," she said, giving him a quick kiss.

"Oh, Chloe's on a business call, and she feels really bad but she said good luck." Jesse smiled.

"Ok. Tell her I said thanks so much. I think you gotta go now."

"Ok, sweetie. See you later."

************
"It went well," Erin said when Becs was fully awake and alert. "Everything looks good."

"That's great!" Beca exclaimed. "When can everyone visit?"

"Right now, actually. They're waiting outside the door." Erin let them in.

Chloe came in first. "Hey, Becs! How ya feeling?" She said in her usual perky voice, handing her a chocolate malt.

"Good, but that's probably because of the painkillers. Thanks so much for the malt."

"No problem. I'll be by your side all the time if you need it. When do you get out of here?"

"In an hour, if I'm up to it, which I will be because I hate this place."

"That's great!"

Jesse and Anna came in and asked the exact same questions, and they all hung out until it was time to go. Jesse had to leave for work, so Chloe agreed to take Beca and Harper home and help out as much as she could. Beca was pretty good at the crutches, but her knee and stitches were so sensitive, she was afraid to slam into anything. "Becs, I know you can go faster than that. You're holding back. Why?"

"I don't want to slam into anything. The painkillers are already starting to wear off." Beca slowed down even more.

"You'll be fine. The sooner we get to the car, the sooner you can go home and rest."

"Fine," Beca said, speeding up a little bit.

When they got home, Beca laid on the couch and watched football until she wanted to get something to eat. Of course Chloe was in the bathroom at that moment. She managed to get up and get herself a yogurt from the fridge. She realized that she couldn't get to the table, so she ended up standing by the counter until Chloe came back. "Oh my gosh, Becs, I'm so sorry!"

Beca smiled. "It's fine, Chlo. I'm fine. It's all good."

After she finished her yogurt, she got a text from Eryn.

Hey! Can't wait for the concert tomorrow.

Beca put her phone down. "Uh, Chlo?..."

Chloe came into the room. "What's wrong?"

"We forgot about the concert."

"You can't go, Becs. You can barely stand."

"I have to! I promised my girls they could meet Jesse for the first time."

"You can't perform, Beca."

"Yes I can. We just have to figure something out."

"Can you sit while DJing?"

"Perfect! I'll just have a chair out there."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes! I'm not letting them down."

"Ok. Do you want me to pick up some dinner?"

"That would be great! Where's Harper?"

"She's taking a nap. What do you want for dinner?"

"Anythings fine. Thanks so much."

"No problem see you in a few."

Literally the second after Chloe left, Harper called for Beca to get her out of her crib. "Ok, sweetie. I'll try my best."

After some struggle, she managed to get her daughter out of the crib. Harper giggled. "Can you play with me mama?"

"Aw," Beca frowned, "I can't, sweetie. I have to rest my leg."

Harper looked down. "Can I watch tv with you?"

"Of course, sweetie!"

Harper sat down on the side her mother wasn't her leg on. Every once and awhile, Beca would move slightly and pain would shoot up her leg. Harper always knew because Beca would cringe and sit up straighter. "You ok mama?" She said hugging her every time it happened.

Beca always answered with the cheesiest, but realist answer. "Of course I am, sweetie. I'm always great when you're with me." And it was true. Beca loved her daughter more than anything, and she knew she would always be there for her. After awhile, Harper climes onto Beca's good leg and they both fell asleep.
