Beca knew it wasn't the best parenting just letting her daughter get up and go shopping with them, but they did need groceries. "Ok, sweetie. We have to go shopping and it's only like 7:30 so get your clothes back on."

"Ok, mama."

Chloe laughed as the little girl ran back into her room with her footie pajamas on. "She's the cutest."

Beca rolled her eyes. "She's a handful. I have no clue how I'm going to handle 2."

Chloe stopped laughing. "You'll manage. I know I can raise one if you can. Plus, you're on crutches, you're pregnant with another one, and you're sick, and you still are doing a great job."

"Ugh don't remind me of my life." Beca laughed as Harper came out of her room.

"Mama, I want a tattoo like you." Harper smiled that cute little girl smile.

Beca smiled and got a washable marker out of the art bin. She drew a pair of headphones on Harper's wrist. "Look, sweetie, now we're twins." Beca had her tattoo drawn in sharpie. "Hey, Chlo, can you watch Harper for a little while tomorrow?"

"Yeah. Why?"

"I want to get my tattoo done for real before I get sharpie poisoning."

"Are you sure? It will hurt really bad."

"Yeah. I have to get it done at some point."

"Ok. Ready to go?"

"Yeah."

Harper stayed by her mom's side the whole time they were walking around the mall. Chloe's one of those people to walk really fast at the mall, so Beca and Harper started to lag really far behind to the point where she had to sit and take a break and text Chloe where she was. Chloe came running back. "I'm so sorry, Becs, you weren't saying anything, so I just assumed you were right next to me and now I realize, no, you're on crutches, and I was walking way too fast and I feel horrible. Let's just go to the grocery store. I wanted maternity clothes, but it can wait. I can tell you're exhausted. Will you be ok for the grocery store?"

"Yah. I should be fine. Harper is just a little ball of energy tonight."

Chloe laughed. "Just like me."

Beca rolled her eyes. "You're a handful Beale. Now let's go. I'm exhausted."

"Ok!" Chloe said, walking next to Beca so she wouldn't lose her again.

The grocery store was fairly uneventful, which wasn't surprising. They saw one of Harper's friends from school and her mom, so they arranged a play date for the next day. After getting their groceries, they went home so Beca could rest. She wasn't tired but it's not like she could walk around or anything. She eventually went to bed, but woke up when Jesse came home. Thankfully, he wasn't drunk this time, and that was the last thing she wanted to deal with at the moment. She woke up the next morning and Chloe took Harper to Anna's while she cleaned the house before Harper's friend came over. That wasn't the best idea considering Beca couldn't lift anything with her crutches, but she managed to clean the house ok until Chloe and Harper came home. Five minutes after they came home, Harper's friend Emily and her mom came through the door. "Hi!" Beca said. "Good to see you!"

"Hi! I don't believe I introduced myself yesterday. Kind of a whirlwind play date set up. I'm Jill!"

Beca smiled. "I'm Beca, and this is Harper's Aunt, Chloe. Her dad should be home later, he's at work."

"Ok. It's nice to meet you, Beca and Chloe. I think I've heard your music on the radio, Beca."

"Ok girls go play!" The girls ran off into Harper's bedroom. "Oh thanks, yeah I do some music stuff. Do you want something to drink?" Beca asked Jill."

"I'm ok. Hey what happened to your knee?"

"Oh I um sort of tore my ACL doing absolutely nothing. I had surgery a few weeks ago. I'm fine. Chloe's been helping me out a lot and whenever my fiancé is off work he helps me too."

"Wait, sooo, you live with your sister and you and Harper's dad just got engaged?"

Beca smiled. "Basically. Chloe and I are best friends, not sisters, and I was engaged, got pregnant with Harper, we broke up, and now we're back together. It's basically full house," Beca laughed.

"Aw that's pretty cool!"

"Thanks, and I found out I'm pregnant with number 2, and Chloe found out she's pregnant with her first."

"Aw I didn't know you had a boyfriend," Jill said,

Chloe laughed awkwardly. "Not exactly. It was an accident, at a club, and I don't even know the guy, but I figure if Beca could raise Harper without Jesse for 2 years, then I'll be ok."

"I get it, I'm divorced, and it's been hard."

"Yeah. It's been kind of crazy for the last 4 years since we moved here. There was a crazy car accident and I broke my ankle. And then on top of everything with that, our friend Anna had cancer and she recently beat it, so it's been a long four years, but it's been pretty cool."

"Wow. I had a car accident a few years ago, too. It was March 3 years ago. I was driving home from work and a truck rammed into my car and the car in front of me. I heard the girls in front of me were injured pretty badly. One had a broken wrist, and the other girl had a broken leg, a broken wrist, and was in a coma for 4 days. All I got was a sprained ankle."

Beca and Chloe sat up really fast. "We were the car in front of you! Our friend Anna was with us, but she was fine. Beca was in a coma
For 4 days, and I had the broken wrist. Thank god Beca was ok! I was really worried."

"Oh my gosh! That was you? Wow! I had heard that Beca was in critical condition for a while."

"Yeah," Chloe said. "There were no signs of her waking up, and then Anna dragged me to lunch and I came back and she was awake. Her ankle was sprained and bothering her for a week until she found out it was broken, and she had to get rods put in it."

Beca rolled her eyes. "I have a huge scar." She rolled up her sweatpants to show her the scar that was about 2 inches long and really visible. "It's horrible, but at least it's on the same leg as my knee, so maybe it won't be as noticeable with 2 scars on the same leg."

Jill rolled her eyes. "It's barely noticeable."

"Thanks, but I know it is."

The 3 women talked about other random stuff for another hour until Jill and Emily had to go home.
